Body detoxification is not a new concept. For thousands of years, mankind has used cleansing and detoxification for natural health and longevity.
In order to be effective, a body detoxification program needs to address the body systems and organs most affected by toxins. A body detoxification program also needs to address toxins produced by alcohol, pharmaceutical drugs, and heavy metals such as lead and mercury found in amalgam fillings and certain types of food.
Your Body
Internal toxins come from the normal body metabolism. Your body needs to burn sugar, fats, protein and subsequently you get the metabolic waste that you need to get rid of. Your body eliminates those toxins, the accumulation of metabolic waste, via four major organs: the kidneys, liver, intestinal tract and the skin. Many skin rashes are simply the reflection of your body trying to eliminate toxins.
The daily bombardment of toxins demands, more than ever, our assistance in aiding our body’s detoxification processes. Like a remorseless killer, these toxins break down all body systems at the cellular level. Any improvement we make in our daily life will enhance the body's ability to shed these burdens of toxic waste. Body detoxification plays a key role in eliminating toxins and metabolic waste products from the blood that would otherwise poison the body.
Toxins
Today, more than ever, we are exposed to a vast number of toxins in our homes, workplaces, air, food and water. These cell damaging, deadly toxins are invisible and insidious. Since our bodies are not able to process or eliminate toxins, they become stored in our glands, tissues and cells. It is estimated that our human body may be carrying 10-15 pounds of toxins.
When toxins enter the body through the digestive system, they are absorbed and subsequently enter the blood stream. Some of those toxins are eliminated through the skin through sweat. The manifestations of toxins may be subtle, and has been documented to lead to cancers. Toxins can be detected by blood tests but those tests are done only in major surveillance centers such as CDC. Therefore, blood tests done today do not detect toxins in our body.
Detoxification
In today’s world our body’s detoxification system is overloaded and unable to function like it did in the past. Detoxification is a natural health-preserving strategy, which helps remove harmful toxins from our cells and tissues, restoring their normal function. More specifically, the process of detoxification purifies the blood and removes toxins from the entire body.
Juice fasting is “the king” of detoxification methods because it helps jump start our sluggish immune system. When engaging in body detoxification, it is extremely important to drink an adequate amount of water to help the flow of toxins through the kidneys, bladder and urological tract.
In Europe, detoxification is considered a valuable medical therapy and is offered at numerous clinics, health spas and other wellness centers, under the supervision of mainstream medical doctors.
Conclusion
Body detoxification is an essential component to sustain natural health and longevity. There are many steps we can take to attain a toxin-free body. By engaging in a body detoxification program, you can improve your health, stamina, and overall well-being.
