Sexual Energy by Chandi Devi ™

Sexual Energy can be awakened and transmuted through meditation and lovemaking between a man and a woman. The sex act is a divine act in itself. Lovemaking between a man and woman, when entered into with complete awareness, is a gateway to both sexual and spiritual ecstasy.

There is an immense potentiality in harnessing our kundalini Shakti (sexual energy). Once activated and contained in the body, it can be transformed and released to Cosmic Awareness.

Genuine tantra yoga practices have been lost in place of sensual fulfillment. There is so much more to tantra than what has been portrayed.

The awakened kundalini can alter our lives in a beneficial way. It can motivate us and give us the ability to achieve excellence in whatever we do. It can improve our health and maintain our youthful vitality. It can keep our bodies and minds ever youthful. It can definitely improve our personal relationships, re-acquaint and re-affirm our relationship to Supreme Consciousness.

How to awaken kundalini? We can learn to activate and direct this sexual energy with sincere desire, unwavering effort and spiritual knowledge. This does not happen overnight. Besides having a lot of practice and intention, it is imperative that all seekers have three shaktis (energies): iccha (desire), jnana (knowledge), and kriya (action). Having a desire (iccha) to be a good lover, and knowing (jnana) all the exercises will do nothing if we don’t actually practice (kriya). Or doing the practices (kriya) without any knowledge (jnana) is pretty useless. Doing the exercises (kriya) and having the knowledge (jnana) how to do it, without a true desire (iccha) will achieve nothing. All three shaktis must be present to manifest and accomplish any of our desires and goals.

Our journey begins with learning how to awaken the kundalini Shakti and be free from the limitations of the mind. One way we can do this is by raising the energy during sexual union through the chakra system (the plexii) …where the more mature delights manifest.

Tantra is the path of surrender and honoring of the yoni (the uterus) and lingam (the Divine Phallus). When we surrender our ego we are free to honor and worship the lingam and yoni, without inhibition. Then we will see the divineness in our partner, in ourselves, and all of life itself.

The lingam, the thunderbolt of consciousness, is the male prime cause of the Universe, (Shiva), who, unless awakened by Shakti, remains inert. The yoni, the container of energy, is the Goddess Mother of the Universe, the creator of life, who stirs Shiva and arouses him to join her in union. This is not only the union between a man and a woman, but ultimately their merging into one Supreme Consciousness.

Kundalini is depicted as a serpent coiled three times around the lingam in the yoni. To activate the sexual energy during sexual union, we contract the muscles of our anus and thighs in a lock called the mulabhanda and kundalini starts to awaken at the first chakra, the Muladhara, at the base of the spine. Shiva, Lord of the Animals, Pashupati, reigns over our primal instincts and passions and we need to invoke his energy. We surrender to his churning action, losing our inhibitions and become the witness, not the doer. The nerve chakra in the physical body is the sacro-coccygeal plexus. In our video we show you how to isolate the sex muscles and strengthen them. After a month of daily exercise an improvement in the sexual experience will be apparent to yourself and to your partner.

Shiva and Shakti together can direct this primal vigor energy (ojas) up to the second chakra, Svadhistan, and the prostatic plexus.

By contracting the abdomen during lovemaking, we activate the third chakra, Manipura, located at the center of the body around the navel area. It is at the fourth chakra, the Anahat, that sexual passion is converted into love, converting the primal sexual energy to tejas, or light, inner radiance. Our being opens to bliss. This connection and bonding takes the couple to a new sacred level. This is the true solar plexus, the cardiac plexus.

From the heart chakra, kundalini Shakti moves to the Visshuda, the throat chakra and communication center. We will know when this center has been pierced. We feel free to express ourselves and verbalize our wants and needs; we also have the ability to communicate psychically when we have pierced this center. Simple exercises shown on our video will help activate this opening.

When the sixth chakra, the Ajna, in the area of the third eye, is pierced we have the gift of inner vision and intuition. Linked to the pituitary gland this lunar plexus regulates and controls many of our endocrine and hormonal functions.

Sahasrara, the crown chakra, is the home of Shiva. Called the thousand-petaled lotus the corresponding plexii is the pineal gland in the physical body. This is the psychic center for Divinity. This is the abode of Liberation, where the individual swims in the ocean of Sat-Chit-Ananda… Existence, Consciousness and Bliss Absolute.

Through sacred love, we can merge the dual nature of our sexuality into an ecstatic union. Through this will come the harmonization of our own internal masculine and feminine polarities and a realization of the blissful nature of our true Self.

Every journey begins with the first step. Do the exercises and meditations on a regular basis and master them until they become second nature. Then get together with your partner and practice the techniques on the video. However complicated this may seem at first, with practice it will come naturally. As long as there is jnana, iccha, and kriya we can expect success!

Good Luck and God Bless!
