What on earth is a child safety expert doing on a self growth and personal improvement site? What does child safety have to do with personal improvement?

Everything!

We know that confident kids have an advantage. We know that kids that stand a little taller, walk a little straighter with their shoulders back, head high, eyes alert and bright, are naturally less of a target for any kind of childhood predators: from bullies at school to those trolling the web for victims on social networks.

A close friend of ours is a 30 year police veteran. He, too, is absolutely convinced that most crime victim’s project, “I’m an easy target,” and therefore, they become one. It’s doesn’t take a lot of thought to understand that criminals do, in fact, pick easy targets for potential victims. A confident kid has a split-second advantage which could, some day, make a difference. It certainly makes a difference in their entire lifetime when they grow up with confidence.

You’d be amazed at how many kids today have low self esteem. We teach kids to keep themselves safe. We start by emphasizing, reinforcing and building high confidence. For the most part, even with the ones with low self esteem, we can help them build themselves into more confident kids. It’s fairly easy since they are young.

When people get to be adults, with their accumulated years of excess negative baggage, is when a challenging situation occurs with the kids.

You see, we work with kids but in the end they have to go home. They have to live in families with parents. Parents, can wither set the good example and be a positive role model for their child. Self growth. Go figure. Or, parents can go home and make a mess of their kids without even uttering a word by being a terrible role model.

You, in the end, influence your child’s ability to keep themselves safe. Are you into personal growth? While you may bethinking this is directed to those of you with younger children, the news is, this is even more important by the time your child becomes a teenager.

Are you into being a positive role model for your child, no matter what their age?

We’ll be providing some great tips on this site just for you and your child. The more you grow, the more they will, too and the safe they will be!
