The answer to the question you just read is "Yes, they are". Nature's designer says so. It does when youthful levels of DHEA in younger people are inseparably connected to a splendid state of health. However, the answer "Yes, they are" is incomplete in older folks. To them, the answer should read "Yes, they are as long as certain conditions are met in advance".
It is not intelligent to believe that if our own natural levels of DHEA are coming down all we have to do is to take some DHEA and... bingo... levels are up and the benefits of DHEA will instantly make us as healthy as if we were 20 years old.
Well... no. It does not work like that. Nature's designer is substantially more elaborated and complex. That designer requires much more than the simplistically act of taking DHEA to gain the benefits without DHEA side effects. The reason is because a hormone such as DHEA does the truly miraculous job it was intended to do throughout our body "as long as" our body meets a number of health conditions that a designer determined must exist in advance before higher levels of DHEA can be accepted without risks.
* Our body should be free from drugs for extensive periods of time
nor be in a medical treatment that requires several drugs and rather
large quantities in milligrams of those drugs, and this applies to Pain
Relievers and other over-the-counter drugs consumed as candy.
* Our body should receive a great number of nutrients "in addition" to
Vitamins & Minerals.
* Our intestines should be evacuated very regularly, and receive good
quantities of the two kinds of fiber together with the so-called Friendly
Bacteria.
* Our muscles should be properly exercised on a repetitive basis not
ignoring that running extensively using Treadmill Machines wears out
the joints in the lower body.
* Our body should regularly and periodically receive a good quantity
of water from which Chlorine and heavy metals have been removed.
* Our body should receive quality sleep and rest every night for the
recommended 7 to 8 hours.
* We must avoid a hectic and stressful life style, and avoid all those
aggravating situations and preoccupations that are so detrimental to
our body and to our mind.
The list you just read is not intended to be complete, but it gives you an idea of what is detrimental. It was written with the intent of giving you an idea of what conditions must not exist for extended periods of time before we rightfully expect our body to be receptive to youthful levels of a hormone.
Should the exact opposite of those events be reasonably well achieved ~and remain part of our lives for extensive periods of time~ we may then supplement with caution and expect to gain the benefits of DHEA and no major risk of DHEA side effects.
All of the above is the reason why the answer "Yes, they are" is an incomplete sentence. It is much wiser to realize that the benefits of DHEA are real "as long as certain conditions are met in advance". It is also wise to realize that, if those conditions are met over extended periods of time, not only our body will be more receptive to benefit when knowledgeably supplementing with DHEA, but our body and all its systems will gain immense number of other benefits. Altogether, they promote a lengthy life in health.

The author of this e-book makes the reader aware that there are
DHEA side effects as well as benefits of DHEA.
It depends which side of the fence the reader positions himself on.
The side of those asking "What is it that nature's designer wants",
or the side of those choosing to be ignorant on what that designer
wants for us to get benefits of DHEA without DHEA side effects.
