Stress is the number one killer throughout the world and constipation may kill just as many. But, both stress and constipation are hidden killers because people don’t associate death with these conditions. All the statistics about death rates relate to cancer, heart disease, stroke, colitis, and diabetes. But these diseases have their origins in stress, in anxiety, and neuroses and not many people are really talking about how this happens. Stress and anxiety use up a lot of nutrition in the body and when they are not replaced disease is formed.

Constipation starts with stress, with anxiety and with neurosis just like all other illness or body malfunctions.

But where does stress, anxiety or neurosis come from? Anxiety or neurosis simply comes from childhood trauma that was not resolved. It relates to trauma that was endured by a child where that child was helpless to defend against it. Does this sound familiar to you? Most of us have had this type of trauma inflicted on us by our parents or relatives. The trauma that is most devastating is the type that is continual – day after day and year after year. This type of trauma changes behaviors and body functions and is the source of all the diseases you develop.

Normal behavior has to become abnormal to adjust to the internal power of the suppressed trauma. Good natural health has to change to become diseased to adjust to the internal power to the suppressed power of early trauma. For sure, body functions have to change to accommodate the internal force of the trauma. Early trauma is stored in the body and not released unless it is resolved through knowledgeable psychotherapy.

So what and how does all this have to do with constipation. Constipation occurs when fecal matter remains in the colon longer than it should. The body holds on to toxin particles and chemicals. The body holds on to early trauma longer than it should. This trauma has to be reflected as some body malfunction and many people find constipation to be the perfect match for this reflection. Constipation is cause by a person not eating the right foods, living the right lifestyle, and learning how to relax. This kind of natural life style is prevented by the internal stored trauma that a person has experience in his early childhood

When you have experienced excess trauma, early on, your natural behavior has changed and you will tend to eat those foods that suppress stress and anxiety. Early childhood trauma is still active in your behavior and needs to be suppressed so that you are not living the early experience constantly. As you age, you will find and eat those foods that give the most relief from the pain suffered early on. Mostly, the food that provides this suppression is junk and processed foods, foods that do not flow easily through your colon, and foods that do not supply the nutrients needed to keep your colon healthy.
