As I sit here reading book 3 of Conversations With God, by Neale Donald Walsch, I feel as if I'm reading a lecture in support of turning your passion into profit. Everything I've always believed about why everyone needs to follow our truth is beautifully expressed in the "dialogue" between God and Neale. And although they are discussing matters of spirituality, all the lessons are applicable to the passion to profit journey. That's because truth is universal. It's why I've always felt that this direction I've taken in my life was not a business decision, but actually a spiritual one. It was not a decision to become rich financially, but to experience the abundance that is already mine to share. Your desire to turn passion into profit comes from a basic and fundamental need to be who you are. Your decision to turn your passion into profit is ultimately a spiritual decision. The actual deed of turning your passion into profit is, at it's core, a creative act. Creativity is, at i! t's foundation, an act of becoming. Becoming more of who you are is your ultimate truth. And truth, as we know quite well, is what shall set you free.

When you truly understand this, you will not do things strictly for the money it will bring you, but for spiritual rewards that you experience as a result. You will seek to give rather than to get, but you will know that the getting will come. You will, undoubtedly turn your passion into profit, but it is the self-realized profit and wealth of personal growth that will precede the profit of pocket that you will experience.

Because you are the creation of a creative universe, you have within you that same power of creation. You cannot give what you do not have. And, you cannot create what you are not. A small serving of juice from a large bowl, has all the properties of taste and texture of the larger body from which it was created. You, too, as one of the billions of different entities that comprise our world, are but a single serving from the infinite all which seeks forever to express itself in more and more ways. That desire for expression does not stop within you simply because you exist. The little serving that you are, with all the taste and texture of the source from which you were poured, seeks similar expression. Your desire to do what you love to do is your desire for expression.

The reason many of us are unhappy in our current jobs, marriages, relationships and life-styles is that we are denying who and what we are. We are living the ultimate lie. Our true nature is one of life, love, freedom, unlimited expression, eternal being-ness, and of God. Practice putting and saying "I am.." in front of all of these words ("I am life. I am love. etc.) and note how you feel. This is who we are. Anything that restricts us from being these things is unnatural and will feel like a prison for our spirit. We seek life through our jobs, but soon find that they are not constructed to provide that experience. We look for love in our marriages, but find too often that they impose conditional limitations on who we wish to be. We seek to find freedom in our relationships, but find that they become the expressions of obligations rather than of choices. As children, we enjoy the unlimited expression of who we are, but are soon taught to suppress our vitality. The reason the! weekend holds such great sway for the masses of people is because it represents freedom from these limitations. Weekends are the time we can finally live, finally love, finally taste freedom, and finally get in touch with our God-selves. We can finally, in measured doses, be who we are and wish to be.

But how can starting a business bring happiness? Because in doing so you will change the relationship between your "self" and your "money". Turning your passion into profit will create for you a life of expression not limited to certain days of the week. You'll be able to experience that weekend feeling of life, love, freedom unlimited expression and eternal being-ness every day of your life.

LUV IT!!! It seems to me that the desires of our heart were put there to provide the struggle our "spiritual muscles" need to develop. Spiritual Growth is the by product of struglling out of the unfulfilling and shallow endeavors (like making money for the sake of just making money) and grasping the fulfilling empowering and inspiring things we love. Just wish I could have understood this while I was alot younger. merrilee www.soulshealing.com
