Any time that you feel you lack confidence you are not alone.

Yet it is important to understand that there are ways that you can defeat this obstacle and gain confidence.

Where you would gain more confidence in social situations, when making an important presentation, when you are going for a job interview or wanting to be more confident for your own peace of mind.

It is possible for you to gain more confidence and become that confident person that you so long wanted to become in any setting.

Below is a method that you can use to overcome that challenge. It is simple to apply in all areas of your life.

Make it a point now to step out of your comfort zone and begin to see and recognise a new you.

It is vitally important that you have made that all-important decision that you are totally committed to make that work.

You must be totally decisive that you do want to improve on your confidence. That you are willing to do all that it takes to let go of the difficulties that have been robbing you of a happy life.

Make that decision now to gain more confidence.

If at first you are afraid, that's fine. It's normal. It happens. Always remember that the next time you challenge your lack of confidence you do so with less fear. And in due course this fear will have a less hold over you.

And as your determination gains momentum, the fear that once limited you will have weakened, and you will be able to face many more challenges that you wouldn't usually handle or face.

You will notice you are gradually gaining more and more confidence.

Here are the 6 steps that you can apply today:

1. Prior to an event where you feel you would like to be more confident, write down precisely what it is that is making you uncomfortable about it.

Get a sheet of paper and divide it down the middle into two columns. In one column, jot down all the reasons why you are uncomfortable about that event; why you are lacking confidence.

Be as honest as you possibly can. The longer the list the better.

2. Once done, in the other column, write down how you would like to feel for each reason why you think you feel you lack confidence. Write down the first thought that comes to mind.

3. Now each day, as far in advance of this event as possible, decide on one challenge with its opposite feeling that you would like to tackle today.

Then find a quiet place where you will not be disturbed for approximately ten to fifteen minutes.

4. Sit back or lie down and relax. Remind yourself of the way you want to feel and close your eyes. Imagine how you would like to perform.

See yourself clearly and vividly doing what it is that you want. Involve your emotions. The more emotional you get, the more beneficial this will be.

Imagine yourself doing precisely what you want to do.

Imagine that you have all the confidence that you could ever want.

5. Feel the confidence spread all over your body. Sense it as it gains momentum. Take your time. No rush. Feel the emotions throughout your body.

6. After ten to fifteen minutes, a few moments into your peak state (before your feelings of high confidence begin to slide), open your eyes and with passion say out loud (if possible) “Yes, that’s me.”

That’s it. You’re done.
As the days go by before that event, continue to work down your whole list. Imagine you have unstoppable confidence.

As the event draws closer, you will feel your are becoming more confident and ready to take on whatever comes with that event.

And on the day of the event, you will find that you are excited, confident and ready to get started.

You will give a presence of confidence that you thought you never had.

Everyone will notice how you radiate confidence and courage.

The good news is that you can use this skill on anything that scares you.

You can use it for any situation where you sense you lack confidence; any situation where you want more confidence. This method is there for your use in any way that you can creatively use it for.

Believe me, it’s enormously powerful.

Always begin with making a list of what makes you feel you lack confidence and find its opposite feeling and visualise how you want to act and feel.

Remember to feel it and see it with as much emotion and clarity as you can.

Believe in this method and you will undoubtedly reap all the benefits.

It is essential to note here that repetition is the mother of all skill.

Repeat the imagination method as often as possible. In fact, the more the better. This is how the mind works.

Repeat, repeat and repeat until you achieve the results you are after. Keep at it. Never quit. Always remember: Success is just around the corner.
