Job Search - What To Know Before You Go

You need a job. Not just any job, but a GREAT job!
I’m going to ask you to open your mind and think outside the box. By doing this you will find a career path that excites and motivates you, that refreshes you and puts a smile on your face every morning.
I will show you how to find the best job in the world - FOR YOU!
Before you go looking for just any job, here’s what to know before you fill out that next application. Ask yourself these questions before sending out another resume and narrow your search down to a more appropriate position.
• Where in the world do you want to live? Near family, the beach, in the mountains, in a big city or out in the country? The reality is, you can live anywhere you want.
• What kind of a lifestyle do you want? New car, homeowner, big vacations, nice neighborhood, extra money at the end of the month, honest relationships, friends with similar interests? The truth is, you can have all the things and values in your life you want. All you have to do is define them.
• If you haven’t already done so, make an appointment with your financial or tax advisor to assess your expenses. The truth is, you can get out and stay out of debt without working a second job.
• Add up all your monthly expenses to know what kind of salary you must have after taxes. The reality is, you can have any salary you want.
• Do not accept a job that does not pay all your bills. The reality is, you will find a career that you love which will match your lifestyle desires. You might have to go back to school, but you can have it ALL!
• If the pay scale in your area does not match your monthly needs, you must either go where the money is or downsize your expenses. Make a folder for really good resources for various areas throughout the United States and their income to living ratio. Look up Cost of Living Wizard Calculator online for help with this.
• Which career fields hold the most interest for you? Even if you have little or no experience, you can still find work you love that will hold your interest. The truth is, with a business plan, you can do any kind of work that you want.
