If you have been on the internet for at least a few days, you have probably been invited to enter your name and email address into a form on a website or blog. And you most likely received something in return -- as a thank you for opting into their list.
There is a reason serious online business-builders are creating lists of people who visit their sites. Because there is money in their lists -- big money!
Imagine this. You write a quick email offering a product that your customers and prospects want, you enter that email into a form in your online account, and you click a button. Within Minutes of Clicking the 'Send' Button, Sales Come Pouring In!
Need a new car? Offer a product to your list. Want to go on a vacation? Offer a product to your list. Do you have medical bills that you need to pay? You got it -- offer a product to your list.
It sounds like a broken record, doesn't it? But this is why it is worth every ounce of effort you put into the creation and maintenance of your list of customers and prospects.
Start Doing What it Takes to Create Money on Demand
It's really pretty simple. All you need is an optin box or form where people can sign up on your website or blog. And you need a thank you gift that your market will find valuable to offer to them in return for sharing their information.
Then you go out into the wonderful web-world and talk about the benefits of your site and your free gift. Invite people to opt in and receive your valuable content. (You must be very certain that you provide valuable content!)
As your list grows, pay attention to your prospects and customers. Don't make the mistake of ignoring them until your list is big enough (whatever that is).
Do you have 27 people on your list? Those 27 people are the most important people in your business today. Remember that lists grow one person at a time. Appreciate your group, and appreciate each and every person on your list as individuals.
Start a conversation with them. Ask them what they want in regards to your site and your products/services. Ask them what frustrates them, what they dream about, what wakes them up at 3 AM.
Listen carefully, and do everything you can to find or create products or services that will answer these needs. And one day, not too far from now, you will wake up one morning and realize that you have a community of raving fans who want pretty much everything you have to offer.
