It's a simple fact of the mlm prospecting process that prospects will do business with people they like. Have you ever given this much thought?

It's something which didn't "sink into my skull" for a long time. I just naturally thought I was likeable but the mistake I was making was not really understanding what it meant. MLM prospecting is not just going out and telling the world about what you have to offer but it's a matter of gaining trust and credibility with prospects.

MLM Prospecting Process

So how do you get people to like you and want to be in business with you? Easy? Do exactly what you tell them you are going to do. It cannot be any simpler than that.

It's hard enough prospecting in multi level marketing and finding someone to show interest in your business without sabotaging your chances of signing them up by being slack and careless. Remember, when someone makes that initial contact with you about your network marketing offer it doesn't mean they are joining your business. This is when the work begins on your part.

MLM Prospecting - Building A Relationship

Here are some important aspects of building an mlm relationship with a prospect:

1. When you talk to people you also need to listen. Don't dominate a conversation by telling them about you. Listen to their story because they have come to you for a reason. They are looking for you to provide a answer.

2. You need to position yourself as an expert. You have the "carrot" and while you know it can transform your prospect's life they don't; they're still in "fishing" mode and looking for something in what you've got to say which can provide a solution to their problem.

3. Listening is vital. You need to find out what they want. You need to establish exactly what it is they want to know, fix or to avoid. One of the biggest mistakes people make in mlm prospecting is not respecting their prospect's desires. Keep telling yourself at this delicate moment it's about them and not you.

4. MLM prospects will do business with people they like. That's a given. You need to sell yourself. Not the company or the products but yourself. One of the best ways to do this is to deliver on what you promise to deliver. If you promise to send them more information then make sure you get it to them within the time frame you specify.
