I met this wonderful person through a series of events, starting with seeing his name in conjunction with one of my affiliates, Brad Yates. He and Brad had collaborated on a program called Body Beyond Belief, combining the power of EFT with Physical Fitness goals. When I ran across ”Christo” on one of the social networking sites, I had to be nosey and ask if the was the same “Christopher Pinckley” that I had read about on Brad’s website. Sure enough, it was. He told me that his new book was about to be released, so as I like to do, I started tracking this guy, hiding in the cyber-shadows like some freaky computer stalker, watching and waiting to see how his product launching turned out. — yes, as an affiliate merchandiser, I stalk PRODUCTS, not PEOPLE.
I was thrilled when I finally received my copy of this book, and with my notepad to my left (I’m left handed) and book to my right, I began to read the foreword, written by Brad Yates, C.Ht. I laughed to myself as I read that he too had scoured through this book with pen and paper at his side, scribbling down notes as he went, but for me, this is my method of writing a book review… but I soon discovered, surely as Brad did, that this book requires note taking because it takes you down a different path than most self-help, law of attraction themed books.
By page 4, my note taking had already begun, as the phrase “… you are already the Master of Manifestations, now all you have to do is consciously use the power within you to create the results you desire.” I never quite thought of it that way. What a fine observance.
It didn’t take long to find out that Chris is not the type of “flowery” author that embellishes or gives you “warm fuzzy feelings” about life, love and prosperity. He tells the gritty truth about his own difficult upbringing and how it influenced his life choices, consciously and unconsciously. By Chapter 6, I had already felt compelled to send him an email to tell him that I was thinking, but decided just to say, “hey, I’m diggin’ the book”. By Chapter 11, I was out of my chair again, heading for the keyboard after having an “aha” moment and seeing the light on a subject that had never dawned on me before. Still compelled to finish the book before emailing the author, I forced myself back down and continued to read.
In Chapter 15, entitled Judgment Consciousness, I started to feel a little uncomfortable. This chapter talks about judging other people. The first line of the chapter says, “I found out that a super great way to keep all the best things from popping up in my own life was to judge other people for having or getting them.” My first thought was, “I don’t do that… do I?” Of course I do. I did it this week. As painful as it is to admit such an ugly little secret, I am guilty~ guilty~ guilty!
Fortunately, Manifestation 101 takes you through the progressive steps of clearing and healing, describing a variety of tools ranging from EFT to meditation and emotional release. This step is vital to the manifestation process and is utilized appropriately in the chapters preceding the in-depth section entitled “The Process of Manifestation”. This is where the fun begins. Each chapter guides you through the steps of deciding what you truly want to manifest, knowing that you are worthy to receive, allowing it to happen, detachment from the outcome, then ultimately becoming the Master Creator.
While the concepts of manifestation have been clearly documented by a variety of authors, Pinckley brings in his unique ability to exemplify the steps with very “real-life” examples and understandable practices. This book is not so much about manifesting riches or possessions, although you could certainly use all of the tools provided to move towards your goals in these areas. This book seems to be more of a blueprint for mastering yourself first, then allowing your spiritual birthright of prosperity and abundance to come about as a natural extension.
This book will be a great addition to your Law of Attraction toolbox.
