Stress and Fibromyalgia go hand and hand. Especially with the rise on struggling families. Something I know first hand. My family struggles with day to day mishaps as much as the next family and in this learning stage I have found a few things to help reduce stress in my life....without costing me more MONEY!
So many of us struggle with things we can not change....or what might happen...etc...

This raises our stress level quickly. As parents and as sufferers of Fibromyalgia we must realize that this is just as damaging to us as catching the flu..Stress triggers our episodes as well as raising our blood pressure. Hypertension is a co-condition of Fibromyalgia as well as one of the leading causes of Heart attack.

Tips for reducing Stress:

1. let go: let go of the things we can not change! Understand that somethings in our life we will not be able to control and no matter how much you worry that fact will not change it.

2. Speak out when something troubles you: Holding ill feelings is a major contributer to stress! If some one does something you don't like talk to them about it right away. Letting those hard feelings rest inside will raise your stress level quickly.

3. Find the path of least resistance: If you are trying to multi-task try and find the easiest path to get them accomplished. Doing things the hard way will stress you out.

4. put Distance between those people that stress you: try not to communicate with people that cause you stress, ( not trying to sound rude) but some people only have negative things to say, if you surround yourself with negative people you will feel stressed and depressed. The more positive they are the better off your overall stress can be.

5. Work on time management: make a schedule for yourself and stick to it!

6. Exercise!: Exercising will reduce your stress level and give your body energy.

I hope these thing help you. Remember stress can be reduced by simple changes in your life. Remember before starting an exercise program consult your physician.
