THE STATE OF THE WORLD and HOW TO CHANGE IT...
but How can a mere 'I' Make Any Difference?
Just sharing a few personal thoughts
I think most people feel they can do little in dealing with the major issues facing our planet today... and even many national and world leaders Monumental issues/problems like:
* Global Poverty
* This year malnutrition will kill almost four million people.
* Three million lives will be lost to HIV/Aids.
* 2.5 million people will die through air pollution
* a lack of clean drinking water will claim about 2 million lives
and
* religious differences (even fanaticism) and ethnic rivalries competing for power.
So the world must urgently tackle these immense problems with the BEST solutions that do the most good - that is, find solutions for the greater good of ALL!
"If we focus on solving today's problems, we will leave communities strengthened, economies more vibrant and infrastructures more robust...so enabling these societies to to better deal with future problems, such as global warming."
So says Bjorn Lomberg, adjunct professor at the Copenhagen Business School and author of 'Cool it' and the 'Sceptical Environmentalist'
Some of the biggest challenges facing the world today are illiteracy and a lack of education in how to tackle these monumental issues, like world poverty... and I believe the solutions lie with the local people "at the coal-face" who can then implement the best strategies for their communities.

With sufficient will by enough concerned citizens and our leaders it CAN and WILL be done!
Like a spark igniting a bushfire, through reaching a critical mass, one mind, one soul at a time, we begin to shift the global consciousness.
And it starts one by one each of us taking personal responsibility for raising the awareness of humanity.
If YOU can make some difference in the lives of just a few people and each one of them in turn makes a difference in the lives of some more whom you may touch, then this spirit, this new consciousness, will will be passed on and spread like a virus...
and together we will make this world a better place.
1 + 1 + 1 = 11111111111... and so on (the process of synergy at work)......
