In studying wealth, we learn that we possess the power to use our mind and attract either success or failure. By visualizing what we want to achieve, or on the contrary, what we are afraid of happening, we employ a mental magnet that can manifest our thoughts. In order to get rich, the first step, the very foundation, is to make sure you have a millionaire mind set.

Everybody wonders why there are individuals who cannot even seem to get a grip on life and become wealthy, while others have riches that would last them several lifetimes. What secrets do the successful ones keep? Do they hold some kind of mystical powers?

The answer is simple: it all starts with the way we think. Wealthy individuals have what is called a millionaire mindset. It is this way of thinking that separates them from everyone else. Many counselors stress the importance of positive thinking. Whether your thoughts are oriented to poverty or wealth, you can be sure that your magnet is working perfectly! Results of your present thinking are soon to be seen. If you have a millionaire mindset, these results will surely manifest, given proper effort, focus and time.

The subconscious mind is very powerful; in fact, it is much more powerful than your conscious mind. It either helps you fulfill your dreams, or holds you back from the success you want in business and in life.

The subconscious mind is made up of ideas and beliefs formed in early childhood. These ideas and beliefs have a very powerful effect on our ongoing lives, even if we do not consciously remember them. If you think earning money is very hard, your success will be very limited, and you will surely have a hard time acquiring wealth. Even by going through all the motions necessary to reach your goal, you will tend to fall short on something critical to your success.

However, there are some things you can do today to change your way of thinking, and begin developing an abundant mindset.

First of all, start taking absolute responsibility for everything that happens in your life, good or bad. Do not blame others for all your problems. Actually being a powerful concept, it will make you realize that you can do and achieve anything that you want from life.

You must consider the Law of Attraction. The law of attraction states that you attract anything that you give attention to, so be sure always to focus on the positive. In theory, then, you musts focus on something you really desire. Our thoughts and emotions help create a special vibration in each of us. Things, people and situations we attract and draw to us are usually the result of the emotional state we create. Therefore, if you create a negative vibe, people around you will notice it. Feeling negative or pessimistic? You will attract more of it. Be careful with your thoughts. They are actually quite powerful.

Do you love your work? By spending 50 or more hours every week doing something you hate, you will never accomplish anything! The primary concept, and perhaps the most important one, is that your quest for acquiring personal wealth should rather be focused on producing quality work, instead money. You will definitely miss many other riches that life has to offer if your sole motivating factor for working is money.

Love and respect yourself. You have as much right to be happy as everybody around you has. Believing that you deserve the best that life offers will surely help you on your path you follow. Remember that it is only in loving oneself that one can truly love others.

Never be envious of another person's success. If you see someone with a fancy car or a beautiful house, you could try saying something like "Good for him!", or if someone you know, gets a promotion or wins an award, congratulate him and be sincere about it. Feelings of envy will actually block the flow of success, prosperity and wealth.

And finally, you must follow your own lead. Copying someone else, their actions or ideas can only lead to a moderate level of success. To become genuinely successful, you must find and follow our own voice. Take ideas from others but make our own path. Simply copying someone means that you are not employing your talents and skills to the maximum.
