Every time you turn on the television or open a magazine, articles warn about our failing health. Heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and a host of other ailments are being attributed to a number of things including poor eating habits, lack of exercise, too much stress, not enough sleep, etc. While an indoor waterfall can’t save the world from bad habits or genetic predispositions, it’s not impossible to believe they can alleviate at least some negative impacts that this stressful world wreaks on us.
If purchasing an indoor waterfall is something you’ve been thinking about, you’re on the right track. The trick, of course, is to mindfully be aware of the fountain in your home, appreciating the beauty and sound. It’s not enough to install a water fountain only to never take the time to appreciate what it has to offer. When you look at the indoor or outdoor waterfall as a holistic approach to wellness, you’ll more likely take the time to sit calmly next to it, reflecting, stretching, meditating, etc.
The health benefits of water fountains include anxiety reduction, but also include things like removing electrical ions from the air while adding much needed moisture to the air.
Taking the time to truly relax, not just appreciate the indoor fountain in passing, will make all the difference in the world to your overall sense of well-being.
