Once upon a time…. there was a land far, far away. People talked about a place where the streets were paved in gold, fountains were flowing with wine that tasted like sweet nectar. Food was so plentiful that you could eat as much and as often as you liked. The land was so rich…no one worked in the traditional sense of having a job, owning a business, serving in the military or peace corps. Instead…this was a place you came to discover after you had achieved your mission and purpose in life. The question is…was this paradise or hell?
Ask yourself…are you searching for this place? Do you want / seek any of the following:
• Early retirement at 55 or younger
• Retirement at 62 or over
• Want to be a millionaire with cash assets to prove it
• Travel across the globe
• Material things to keep score
• Take this job and shove it
• Be a people-person that really cares about people and their lives
• Through actions give back to your community
• Through actions are envious, jealous, or just mean-spirited
I had to throw that last one in to keep me honest. Look…there are no right or wrong answers because each person has a unique role and purpose in life. So, it will take each of us discovering what the purpose and mission is…THEN… DO IT!!!
I believe you know when you are doing what you are supposed to in life because there will be some type of inner peace. Some even say there is a glow about you. I’m just saying…I think you know.
I started this article by talking about a fairytale place because it is so much easier to focus our thinking on the future rather than on the present and this moment. Thinking about the future has its place. Yet, I believe it is far more important to keep your eyes fixed on the prize right now at this moment. In terms you can understand…it is called ‘A Plan’. With ‘A plan’…you can begin to make your dreams come true.
Again…you are only limited by your imagination. You can find that dream job, start your own business, make your million$, retire as a millionaire, find that soul mate, go back to school, travel or maybe…write that best seller. Paradise or hell…you decide!
