Copyright Dissertation Page: Put this page in the pretext section; however, do not give any page count to it.

The Certification Page: It is the page that includes an approved certificate from the committee. This page is placed in the pretext section without any page number.

The tile page: On this page, you put the title of your research with the researcher, supervisor and institute name, and date. It comes in the pretext section without page number.

The Dedication Page: In this page, the researcher acknowledges the support of people who have helped him in carrying out his educational studies. It is an optional page in the pretext section without page number.

The Acknowledgement and/or Preface Page: In this page, the researcher thanks those who have helped him conduct the research. This page also comes in the pretext section but has a roman page number centrally aligned on it.

The Abstract Page: This page contains a short summary of the research highlighting the purpose of the study, its key measures and its desired results. This page also comes in the pretext section with a roman page number centrally aligned on it.

The table of content Page: It is a list of sections/chapters that are written in the dissertation. It is a part of pretext section with the roman page numbering.

List of Supporting Materials: It contains a table of graphs, and charts that are used to give details of the data collected. This a pretext page that has a roman page number on it.

Body of the Dissertation: This includes the different sections of the dissertation. It gives the theoretical description of the research. The body ends at bibliography or Vita and has Arabic numerical on it as page numbers starting from “1”.
Appendix or even Appendices: This contains a list of those supporting materials that are not placed in the dissertation but can be accessed to have greater details of the work. This section also has Arabic page numbers on it.

Glossary: It is a list of technical terms, key phrases, special names and abbreviations that are used in the dissertation. It may also come after the list of content page but has Arabic page number on it.
