The yesteryears of liposuction did not have too many options for patients undergoing the procedure. Common technique used and the only available one was “the dry technique”. However many liposuction Newport Beach clinics devised many advanced techniques which made liposuction a lot safer process. Now surgeons recommend a technique that best suits a patient’s particular situation. Nowadays, dry liposuction technology is rarely used. There are various other techniques deployed by surgeons instead. The liposuction before after photos does not reveal the type of technique used. Every patient is treated according to the options best suitable for his or particular physical conditions. Let us have a look at the various techniques used.
Wet technique
In this technology small amount of fluid is used to perform liposuction. The liquid that is used has epinephrine, saline, and lidocaine. Lidocaine is used by anesthetic for minimizing pain. Epinephrine on the other hand is used to contract blood vessels for reducing bleeding to a minimum. Saline fluid helps loosen the fat and is similar to the liquid in our own body. There is a surgical vacuum device used to suck out fat cells.
Super wet liposuction
The super wet liposuction technique is a lot similar to the wet one. The only difference is that in this technique more volume of saline fluid is used. The main reason for using more fluid is that many surgeons want the patient’s body to retain balance of all important body fluids required. This technology is a bit safer because it ensures the body does not lose too much liquid.
Tumescent technology
In this technique the surgeon injects large volume of liquid in the area that need fat removal. The liquid is of the same nature that is used in wet and super wet technology. However, it is even further diluted. This dilution creates a lot of gap between fatty tissues and muscles. The surgeon has more room to operate on the patient. The only difference between this and the simple wet technology is of time. In order to introduce more fluid into the body, more time is required. Once the liquid is slowly seeped in, only then the cosmetic surgeon can operate. Many liposuction Newport Beach clinics offer this type of surgery.
Internal ultrasound assisted liposuction
This technique is similar t to the tumescent technology but aided with the ultrasound. The body is vibrated using a special cannula. These vibrations explode fat walls resulting in liquidation of fatty tissues. This also helps reduce the need for the surgeon to make more movements. Resultantly, patient has to undergo less bleeding and trauma.
Always look at liposuction before after photos to form a reasonable expectation of the results that can be achieved.
