I've been doing a lot of reading on how to create the life you want and desire. I've also read a lot of finance books as well. They all have something in common, it is attitude and focus. Almost any successful person I have heard speak has said that their journey has not been easy but they have remained focused on their goal to succeed and their belief that one day it would happen.
Attitude is certainly the key ingredient here. If you were to have the attitude that life sucks and nothing ever good happens to you, well, guess what...you wouldn't know if something good came along even if it slapped you in the face, because your attention is so focused on the bad that you can only notice the bad. There are days that we all have our pity parties, I too am certainly guilty of that. But failure happens when you have a chronic way of thinking negatively. We are certainly entitled to having our off days, (sometimes weeks), but if it remains negative, you will continue to receive negative results because at that point you are not even looking for the positive and it will go somewhere else if you ignore it.
What are you focusing on? Where are you putting your attention? Are you focusing on war? Your debt? Someone whose personality makes you cringe? Your list of unlimited things you need to get done? Celebrity gossip perhaps? Anything that creates a negative feeling in you? That, I am guilty of as well as we all are I'm sure. I do think that it is important to focus on things that matter, such as eliminating debt and whatever situation may occur that is negative, but if we focus mainly on that negative situation, we will not be able to move past to bigger and better experiences. Look at the amount of time that you focus on the negative aspects of life versus the positive? Whats the ratio? If we were just to shift our attention to more powerful and positive situations I'm sure we would all have a different experience. If you have a specific goal and you want it soooo badly, do you think that you would be able to achieve that goal if you didn't think about it or thought about it very little because you are so focused on the jerk at work? Although it is difficult at times; we need to retrain our way of focusing. Instead of focusing on all the garbage, focus on your innermost desires.
Visualize your goal(s). Allow yourself to daydream...there are no limitations either. I feel that we have almost been programmed that we are so limited and that we are only allowed to want or have a very selected amount in life. I think that is where greed originates to be honest. If you want the moon...it's yours. You can daydream of having anything your heart desires. Find a picture of your goal and desire in your mind and LIVE IT. When you are visualizing, visualize as if you are experiencing it. Feel it, smell it, taste it. Do whatever you can to make it as real as possible. Do this repeatedly and I promise you something will manifest from this.
Act when the time is right. If an opportunity comes your way, this is what has manifested from your visualization. If you don't act then you are simply saying, nah, I changed my mind. You can't just expect to visualize and receive...it does not work that way. You also need to do your part by acting on the situations that arise that will help you achieve your goal.
Visualization of your goal is recommended daily in order to achieve the best results. You don't necessarily have to set aside as specific time of day, although it would be best to do it in the morning and before bed in a relaxed state, but you could also do it while driving in the car (providing you are still paying attention), grocery shopping, exercising, or eating your lunch.
