One of the biggest shocks from the Celebrity Big Brother house has been the revelation that paparazzi king Darryn Lyons has had some plastic surgery that none of us had previously seen admitted to in the celebrity news columns.
The Australian revealed a fake six pack that apparently cost him £6,000 and had to be sculpted on top of his rather ample stomach. Speaking to fellow CBB housemate Paddy Doherty, he explained: "I had contouring done. I had to get really fit and lose a fair bit of weight.”
Lyons continued: "It takes away all the fat and lets your natural abs be there ... Basically it's the male version of a boob job … It's the best thing I ever did. I'm over the moon with it."
Of course, Darryn isn’t the only cosmetic surgery advocate who is featured on Big Brother this year. In fact, most of the ladies in there have been the talk of the celebrity gossip columns thanks to their tendency to go under the knife.
Amy Childs – The Only Way Is Essex star has already admitted to Now magazine that she is not only delighted with her cosmetic curves, but would be happy to be further enhanced in the future. “I’ll probably have another boob job after I have kids,” she told the publication earlier this year.
Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff – She may not have been screaming it from the rooftops like Ms Childs, but Pamela’s ex-husband David Hasselhoff has allegedly been keen to point out that she may not be all natural. When she openly accused him of having once broken her nose, he apparently responded with: “The only person who broke my wife’s nose is her plastic surgeon.”
Tara Reid – Born in New Jersey, Reid may have originally made a name for herself having appeared in hit comedies like American Pie and The Big Lebowski, but in recent years it has been her hard partying and bad boob jobs that have kept her in the public eye.
Kerry Katona – The former Atomic Kitten star and reality TV regular is no longer the face of the Iceland adverts, but she has been keen to put herself in front of as many cameras as she can to show off the work she’s had done. In 2008, she unveiled the results of £15,000 worth of surgery for a lad’s magazine. “I feel sexier,” she said at the time. “My confidence has come back and everyone keeps telling me how amazing I look.”
