Come to Christ

A friend recently said, "I wish my whole family would come to Jesus."

I commented that many of her family had 'come to Jesus' and were born-again, but lacked real power, peace and integrity in their life. I further observed that what was really needed was for her family to come to Christ.

Letting Christ be formed in us is the PhD of faith. It is Christ who resurrected and has fully demonstrated the power of God. Indeed, Christ is said to now be seated on the right hand of God, the Father.

The power to move from death to life, spiritually, is found in salvation through Jesus. The power to access the heavens, the throne of God is found in Christ. Christ fully experienced the fulfillment of God's promise.

God promises us peace, love joy, gentleness, in-dwelling Holy Spirit, etc. Why are more Christians not living that reality? The very descriptive title of 'Christian' indicates that we need to grow up and advance to Christ, moving through and past the crucifixion to the resurrection and ascension.

The scripture instruct us to set our sights on things above (in heaven), not on temporal, earthly things.

Depression is temporal and earthly. The mind of Christ is heavenly. The peace of Christ passes our earthly understanding.

An 'orphan spirit' or 'poverty mentality' is not Christ-like, but is spiritual and mental conditions from which we can be free in Christ.

Romans 8:1-2 reads, "There is now no condemnation to those who walk in Christ Jesus Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death."

So if you have confessed Jesus as Lord, but are not experiencing this kind of freedom, I encourage you to consider the Messiah, Christ. Do as the scriptures instruct us and 'grow up in Christ in all things.'

Release emotional scars, anger, depression, worries, anxiety to Christ and walk free.
