When you care for others you get wrapped up in their world and sometimes forget about your own. It’s ok to step outside your comfort zone and dare yourself to dream, it is very good for your soul. Is your life going the way you intended it to be? Is your daily routine dragging you down? If so, here are some suggestions to get yourself grounded and on the right path:

1. Remember back when you were a child and you said “I want to be a _____ when I grow up.” Is this the person you have become? Is there still a part of you that wants to be this now?
2. Have you realized what your full potential is? Your full potential is constantly growing, forever changing, but in this moment have you reached your full potential? If not, what is lacking? Here are some excuses; time, energy, finances, low self-worth, etc. (This is so you know what area you can improve upon).
3. You have to visualize the way you want your life to be. You have to see yourself in that career or anything else that you want to pursue. Make the time, look at your schedule and allow yourself the time to take the steps that you need to make that dream happen. Write down the goals that you set for yourself. Financially look for odd jobs that you can make additional money at to help you purse your dream. Make a list, you will be amazed at the amount of things you know how to do, and you do them well. Always remember you deserve to give your dreams a chance. You owe it to yourself to be happy; no one else can make you happy.
4. You have to be open to change. You have to be willing to take the necessary steps for your dreams to come true. Your dream might entail hard work, long hours, and some sacrifice. In the long run, it will be well worth it. Have faith in yourself that you can do it. We waste so much of our time “thinking” about our dreams, now is the time to take the necessary steps to bring those dreams into fruition.
5. Search your soul, maybe that dream of long ago isn’t what you desire today. We change, we grow, and we adapt. When you invest the time into finding out what your dreams are and what you want to do you will grow. Apart of that growth will be your willingness to change and accept change.
6. Change doesn’t happen overnight. The important part is to not get discouraged and give up on your dream. Allow yourself time and don’t be too hard on yourself. Don’t look at it like you’ve wasted so much time, time allows you to learn lessons and you are taking those lessons to another level.

May all your dreams come true.
