These advances are usually not well publicized in mainstream media. When you look at studies, be aware and curious about who is paying for the study. Statistics are manipulated to report what the originator wants them to say. If you find multiple studies by a variety of sources that report the same thing, you are probably connecting to truth. For example, while you do not hear about epigenetics in mainstream medicine, many research studies from prestigious universities are reporting how the science of epigenetics works and how it is changing the disease paradigm. Hundreds of studies and articles on the “second brain,” your gut and gastrointestinal system, are available on the Internet.

Although mainstream medicine still denies the role detoxifying plays in disease and aging, many integrative health care practitioners suggest all kinds of ways to detoxify your body. Their approaches cleanse the liver, kidneys, colon, lungs, lymphatic system, and skin.

The important thing to know about detoxification: Find a process, protocol or product that is right for you, does not have harsh side effects and offers you the benefits you want.
