Besides a carrying device, dog backpacks offer a solution to a common problem that many dog owners often face. While some dogs walk perfectly on a leash, other dogs pull relentlessly.

Dogs love to work and by placing a backpack on Fido, you’re giving him a job to do during his walk. This job helps to keep the dog focused while eliminating his need to pull.

Dog backpacks offer several different features; some are attached with Velcro fasteners while others may use nylon straps with plastic buckles. Some fasten around the chest while others fasten around the abdomen area. Other features include pockets, zippers and snaps.

Important tips to consider before purchasing:

Many prefer a mesh fabric that works well in hot humid weather. This breathable fabric will help to keep your dog cool.
