Want to feel more self-confident? Want a better image to project to others? Start by forgetting everything you see in the papers and in magazines about the supposedly perfect body image:

So you walk into a dinner party or family gathering and instantly feel awful because you are not the thinnest, strongest, blondest, blackest, biggest-eyed, smallest-nosed, or whatever the press says you should be.

Remember, the press is there to sell copy. And making you fearful sells more copy. They are not being sincere. They do not have your best interests at heart. They just want to terrify you into buying their next edition. Don't be a victim. Be a victor. Stand up to the press. Say "No"!

EFT, short for Emotional Freedom Techniques, negative thoughts and self-image are said to be kept active by energy. This is like a horribly bright light that keeps you awake all night being kept on by too much electricity. Of course, we can turn off that harsh too-bright a light and get some nice sleep, right? Well, EFT can remove the unwanted extra "electricity" switch off those annoying negative self-critical images. Then your mind is your own and you can see the real you hiding behind that ugly construct of your mind. Here are some suggestions how.

Get a moronic (they always are) article about someone not being thin, tall, short, light-skinned, dark-skinned, or whatever enough and put it in front of you. Stand up and look at it as you shout as loud as you can at the gutter press article "No, no, no, no, you cannot scare me or intimidate me any more." Tap these statements on each point, slowly, from the top of the Head to the Under Arm. Then take that article and stomp up and down on it. Show it the disrespect it deserves.

Next, play Christina Aguilera's song "Beautiful" as you tap on all the points, over and over again. Let the tears come. It is a release. Do it for at least 10 minutes.

Do this exercise every day for a week, and see how you feel.

Play the song every day for an additional 2 weeks whilst tapping, or until you no longer cry when you tap along to it.

You are beautiful. Just as you are. One day, you will have the confidence to at least partially believe it. I look forward to that day! EFT rocks. Let it rock your world!
