Tracing Back Life To Its Origin:

Mother: At the root of all creation is that vapor (something vaporous). The vapor comes in such a stream that at the moment life is created, dual forms each unlike the other, come into being. They have like shapes, but probing further, the duality is discovered. This is the finding of subtle analysis. But speaking roughly about the maim stream, both are the same.

To begin with, a whole swarm was created. Not to speak of man only, those born in a mother's womb, fertilized by father, all those living creatures were created in swarms. At the beginning of creation, there was no question of sexual reproduction. The creatures appeared in swarms and joined the streams. Other swarms came and poured into that stream. Just as those swarms came, new beings were derived in their likeness from them. They are still being derived like that. But when they came from the primordial source, they came in swarms.

Prosad: For creating men and animals, the 'vapor' first finds a womb to shelter in. So it needs a vessel. But originally it found no such vessel!

Mother: That Ball (womb) was, as it were, a hollow pit of fire. Even there a vessel was required for the purpose of creation. That was the Primordial Vessel.

Do you think all at once a full-grown man appeared for the first time? No, that wasn't ever. Man was created out of a 'special vapor'.

Prosad: What's the harm in saying that man was once a monkey, an ape like gorilla? Slowly his appearance has changed.

Mother: Changes in the body? Nothing like that has taken place. Man has sprung from man and that goes on still. The brain has developed. Owing to that, some little change of bodily appearance is observed.

What I've found from my own realization is like this. The kinds of creature you see today were created at one time in those streams. They did come out swarm after swarm and then passed into their several streams. Next changes here and there have been going on in that stream, mutations taking place. But a switch-over in creation from one stream to another—this I haven't realized.

In the primordial creation—when it was time for apes to born apes were born; time for tigers and bears, they were born; time for man, man was born. What you saw holds true even today. The brain has developed. That applies to knowledge, not to the body. The body has become more graceful.

If men derived from apes, why have some apes been left out? First they all came in swarms then they swung into streams. They have all been created in swarms. It was found somewhere in a pond or on land or in hills or forests—a cluster of live things, not known to anybody, were wriggling all the while. Slowly these became full-grown in form. Thus was also man created.

That Primordial Vessel was, as it were, a Ball of Fire. Streams of vapor were issuing forth from it. Along with the distribution of vapor came the creation. When man first came, how he did—the next and next and next and so all that is left to me is to take my stand on the next to come.

Prosad: So the Primordial Vessel is nothing but a whiff of vapor. What remains a mystery is this. If that vapor has to go through the process of insemination in the womb of a woman, how did it assume form and grew on its own?

Mother: That hollow pit of fire is the fountain-head of all creation. The Primordial womb. The creation was sorted out into different streams. They tumbled into their several streams at different times and grew. If by searching out food they survive in the struggle for existence, they go down their own stream. Still there's no end to it.

One thing more. You need not thing seriously over the creation of non-living matters. But you can draw the line of division at some such point beyond which nothing but sexual reproduction is possible. But among the creatures below the line—among worms and insects—you will find that they reproduce themselves into two ways. First by sexual reproduction and secondly of their own free will.

So it is found that a special situation, heat and pressure of environment is required for generating a special kind of vapor. The maggots in a drum of rice are not like those found in night-soil. Again, maggots in wet rice are not like those in long-stored rice. In the primordial times when men came to be born in a swarm, the 'vapor' and environment for creating men existed. That environmental vapor ceased to exist. Or you may say that primordial vapor disappeared.

Prosad: What was the state of things in the primordial days, you only know Mother. But in pre-historic times there were monster-sized creatures and huge-limbed men. Many a species of animals can not simply be seen in the present times. Why, indeed, is man growing shorter in structure?

Mother: That same vapor is still in operation. The only difference is, it is getting thinner in density. The earth is the same as ever. The world of matter has been under-going cataclysmic changes. But the forms of life have been multiplying day by day. Hence it has not been possible for the vapor to remain as dense as it was.

You take a sip from a glass of water in which ten spoonfuls of sugar have been mixed. Now pour another glass of water into the same mixture. That'll be a little less sweet. Now pour in another five glasses of water. It'll become altogether taste¬less and insipid.

In the age you're speaking of, there might have a million creatures born. Now, fancy, a billion or a countless number of creatures are being born in their places. Now if that vapor is shared among all of them, they cannot but get shorter in size.

A certain density of vapor was required to produce monster-like creatures in the pre-historic age. They were at sometime (as and when) extinguished. Afterwards where was that density so that they might be reproduced of their own free will!

Not only have the form and appearance changed in relation to the change in the density of vapor, complexion too has undergone a change. You may observe how the human complexion is changing day by day. Formerly men were dark-skinned. Now the dark-skinned people are not many in number.

In Africa it is very hot, and the country is thickly covered with forests. The population is surely small by comparison. Now let them cut down the forests, build houses and settle down. You'll find both the form and appearance of the people will begin to change. It's already changing, you'll indeed see. It's the same story with the 'Vapor'—it cannot remain in a stable condition anywhere.

Author's Bio:

Ma-Mahajnan, a matchless spiritual genius, expressed her entire creation in a state of "Conscious Trance” which has all been stuffed with matters of highly philosophical values and related with strong literary sense. She could not attend even Primary School due to extreme poverty. Strangely, she was taught all by herself in the School of Nature. The weird and wonderful life is possibly the souse of her vast experience and profound realization. She was born on 17 July, 1928 and passed away on 22 January, 2011. The weird and wonderful life of Great Ma-Mahajnan is the source of our inspiration. Her profound realization compiled in more than one hundred of authentic books is far beyond imagination.

Asokananda Prosad, Ma-Mahajnan's first disciple, is an engineer, a philosopher and a philanthropist. Being the missing son—the eldest and the first disciple of Great Ma-Mahajnan, he has had to shoulder so many burdens of Ashram and Temple. He has long been translating Works of Ma-Mahajnan, written in Bengali, into English. The Mother didn’t just put those in black and white, but simply expressed, extempore and spontaneous, in a state of “Conscious Trance” and Asokananda along with his brothers and sisters got those tape-recorded. He now shoulders as: Director of Pub. Div. : Adarsha Prokashani; Editor of Journals : Nandan Kanan & Sudhi Sahitya; General Secretary : Ma-Mahajnan Vishwa Kalyan Trust; Secretary : Society for the Formation of Character and Sequence; Independent Scholar : Philosophy Documentation Center, Ohio, USA; A Leading Philosopher of the World.
