A balanced diet for a pregnant lady should also contain protein diet and that could be easily gained y eating beans,pulses,nuts,eggs (but make sure egg is well boiled),and fish(salmon and sardines are better option).

To provide proper amount of folic acid to the body the pregnant mother should be served with folic acid rich foods like,broccoli,spinach,brussels sprouts and salad greens.
