I am grateful for the Hallmark hype and everyone’s marketing for Thanksgiving. It’s a perfect opportunity to focus on giving thanks and gratitude but let’s not wait for this once a year celebration. If you celebrate the American Thanksgiving or already celebrated the Canadian Thanksgiving in October or a similar holiday in your country during the year, give yourself the gift of gratitude all year long.

We can reflect on everything we are grateful anytime. We can count our blessings and share our gratitude with others and appreciate ourselves.

"Wishing you a wonderful, joy filled and amazing Thanksgiving. I am grateful for You." ~ Ulrike Berzau

When we are grateful, we fill our mind with positive thoughts and get into a good vibration. Our negative mind-chatter does not get attention and quiets down. Focusing on our blessings brings us more of the good, because today’s thoughts and feelings create tomorrow’s reality.

All transformational leaders agree that whatever we focus on grows stronger in our life. It’s interesting that when we ask ourselves to find evidence of the good, we see more of it and our subconscious mind goes out to find more – the universe brings us more.

When you feel doubt and don’t see the success you are hoping for, you feel tense and frustrated focus on the following:

Get Clear on What You Want
There are various processes to align you with what matters most to you and you might have your goal written on a goal card, or completed your passion cards, written down a big vision or created a vision board. Whatever process resonates with you, it only works if you keep goal, passions or vision at a place where you see it daily, the more the better.

Find Evidence
Ask yourself, “What evidence is here for me to see … (look for evidence aligned with your goal and passions).” When you realize the evidence, even as little as it might be, you start focusing on the positive and your mind will start to wander, looking for more and more evidence. All of this brings you in a positive vibration, creates a feeling of happiness and accomplishment, aligns you with your goal and brings more of the good to you.

I have used this when I was stuck and am grateful that Chris Attwood, co-author of The Passion Test, shared this approach with me.

MOTIVATION MOMENT:
"There is a calmness to a life lived in gratitude, a quiet joy." ~ Ralph H. Blum
