Greet Good over Evil- Its Dussehra

The festival of winning good over evil is the air; throbbing heart, cheerful faces, lights , crackers, blowing conch shell and the moment when Lord Rama aims his bow and arrow to kill the demon king Ravana(who abducted Goddess Sita) and defeats him. The happiest and one of the most hoped-for festival Dusshera have come. The season when joy and fun has no limits; as well as also considered as the end of Navratri (Nine days pooja).
Dussehra is also celebrated as a day when Goddess Durga killed the demon named Mahishasura who terrorized the earth in the facade of a brutal water buffalo. Disturbed by his action, all God prayed Goddess Durga to get rid of him. The tenth day when Goddess Durga won over Mahishasura which symbolizes good over evil is known as Vijaya Dashami. In India and Nepal, Dussehra is considered as one of the biggest festival and lots of preparation are done two weeks before. In Delhi, Ramlila (the dramatization of the life story of Lord Rama defeating Ravan on Dussehra) is performed all over the city from the first day of Navaratri until the tenth day.
In Varanasi, Dussehra celebrations starts a month before the actual date and ends on full moon after Dussehra. Even here, Ramlila is performed on these nine days which has been running for nearly 200 years and con sidered as world's oldest Ramlila performance.
In Mysore, it is known as Mysuru Dasara and here the celebrations run for 10 days, starting from the day one of Navaratri and ends with a grand street parade on the last day. 
In the Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh,this festival is known as , Kullu Dussehra a seven-day festival
In Kota the function is held for three days and culminates on Dussehra.
In Kolkata, Navratri and Dussehra is celebrated as Durga Puja, with Dhaak and Dhunuchi dances performed during the evening aarti. Dhaak is a variation of the drum beats and Dhunuchi is a dance performed during Dhaak holding a small mud vessel in the hand, mouth and even balanced on the forehead
In Gujarat, Dussehra is celebrated as Navratri when Goddess Durga is ritualistically celebrated for nine days with vibrant Garba dance. A folk dance where couples or group of people hit each other’s dandiya sticks and swing their feet in a folk music
