Morning sickness happens to women during pregnancy which can cause nausea and vomiting. There are certain factors which can cause morning sickness such as smelling certain perfumes, foods or petrol, eating certain foods like meat, anxiety, stress, tiredness, spicy food, oily food and many more. There are several home remedies for morning sickness which are simple to use and are quite safe to try at home without any risk of side effect. Some of the popular home remedies for morning sickness which are being used since a very long time and have proved to be quite effective in many cases are:
1. One of the most effective home remedies for nausea is the use of curry leaves. All you need to do is take twenty to twenty five curry leaves and crush them properly. Now squeeze these crushed curry leaves and collect juice. Mix two table spoons of lime juice and one tablespoon of honey in this juice. Consuming this mixture three to four times daily will prove to be quite helpful in treating nausea.
2. Ginger is considered to be one of the most efficient home remedies. Just drink some ginger tea on regular basis for better results.
3. Take one teaspoon of mint juice, one teaspoon of fresh lime juice, one teaspoon of honey and half teaspoon of ginger juice. Mix them together and consume this mixture three to four times every day. This will prove to be quite effective.
4. Take a glass filled with cold water. Now add one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in it. Mix well and drink before going to bed. This is quite an effective home remedy.
5. Lemon juice is very capable of treating morning sickness. Drinking lemon juice or licking lemon slice will help in reducing vomiting, morning sickness or nausea.
6. Take a diffuser and then add three drops of lavender oil with one drop of peppermint oil in it. This will fill your room with fresh and soothing scent. This is a very useful natural remedy.
7. If you are suffering from morning sickness then it is recommended to have liquid diet only. Liquid diet is easier to digest for stomach. You can have fruit juices, soups or bouillon.
8. Consuming foods rich in carbohydrates on regular basis can be very beneficial in treating this problem. Foods rich in carbohydrates are easier to digest. Some of the common food sources rich in carbohydrates are potatoes, bread and pasta.
9. Consuming frequent small meals can be very helpful in preventing this problem. You can consume small meals five to six times in a day. This will make it easy for your stomach to digest food and will put less strain on your digestive system.
10. Try to avoid sudden movements as it can trigger nausea.
