Whether you search it on some search engine or ask any learned person, about what is a table according to them, they will all give the general explanation: A piece of furniture that has four legs of equal length; holding the four corners of the flat surface above them. But far more than just being a piece of furniture, a table has been an integral part of our lives. A table is a big portion of the investment that you bring to your home, to add to your decor as well as your convenience. So, there is a need to keep it shining, so that it makes the aura happier.

This is because the cleaners contain harsh chemicals. You might also go for the wood cleaning agents to clean your wooden dining table, but make sure they do not form a waxy coating on the surface of the wood, which again needs additional cleaning. See the following cleaning instructions to keep your wooden table clean on the daily basis:

1.Materials Required: There is no saying no to the mild detergents or liquid soaps that when stirred into the water can be used. Do not use the concentrated solution. One can also use some lukewarm water and mild dish detergent along with some vinegar and a soft cloth. This is because vinegar is blessed with the anti-bacterial properties which can help a lot to kill the inlaid dirt.

2.Steps for cleaning the wooden part:

2.1.Fill the bowl with the lukewarm water and add a few drops or, to be precise, a half cup of vinegar in it. Mix the solution well.
2.2.Add one to two drops of the dish detergent and stir well the solution.
2.3.Now soak the soft cloth in the solution and try gently to wipe the dirty areas of the wooden table.
2.4.Try to reach the corners of the table smoothly and clean them with the sudsy solution to make them free of the grime collected from the daily meals. This way you are disinfecting the entire surface.
2.5.Now take another soft cloth, soak it in clean water and gently wipe off the solution from the surface of the wooden table.
2.6.Let the surface air dry and thus you get a dirt free wooden surface.

3.Re-oil the wooden surface: Re-oiling the wooden surface from time to time never lets the wooden surface look dull and worn out. So, following are the key steps that one must consider before trying to oil the wooden table:

3.1.Take a clean, soft cloth and try to work the oil in the direction of the grain pattern on the table surface, for the smoother look.
3.2.Wait for next 10 to 15 minutes, till the oil sits well. Then try to run another clean cloth to complete the finish, only after the oil is completely set.
3.3.This would be the process for the first coat. If you are coating the shine in multiple layers, then you have to keep a gap of at least 2 hours between two consecutive coatings, for an ideal coat! Rushing one coat over the other can destroy the surface.
3.4.If the table surface is gouged, then you can use the fine sandpaper and rub it gently to overcome the irregularities. You can then, use the damp cloth to wipe off the surface and then after, oil it.
3.5.If the surface is marked with crayons, then you can sue steel wool to smoothen the surface. And after that, re-oil it!
Re-oiling the surface of the wooden table after every six months can bring life to your table and make it last the longest without you having to worry much.
