Making a lot of money as a certified life coach is possible if you just put your mind to it. The trouble is, most people seem to think that becoming a coach is easy and takes little or no effort. Nothing could be further from the truth.

In fact, a career as a life coach can take a huge amount of investment, a lot of energy and a massive amount of time.

There are ways to make the process easier such as connecting with a career coach who can guide you or by doing some research. But, there is so much "alternative" news out there it is sometimes hard to know which information is correct.

There is no exact formula, however, with a few little tweaks to your current coaching strategies you can improve things a great deal.

Some of these include:

Getting a Related Degree (s) to Increase and Expand Services

Obtaining certification in a related field will open doors for you because you will be able to profit from providing more than one service. If you are a fitness coach, getting a certification as a dietician makes for a more marketable business. The more marketable you are, the more you can charge according to the Canadian National Coaching website.

Expand Your Client Base

While you want to target specific types of people, do not limit your chances to grow by only serving one type of client. Just because you are a women's coach does not mean that you cannot provide services to men. You may have to just alter the service slightly to meet their needs.

Join a Team - Share Resources

You may find it difficult to advertise yourself because you do not have the funds or means in which to do so. Joining a team of like-minded individuals is a great way to get your foot in the door and share resources.

Websites like KiniChat.com and CoachingJobs.org provide profit sharing and is a great way for life coaches to access a new client pool. It is also a great way to start a new business in the industry because if you do not have any clients, you can still make money helping people.

Create Competitive Prices

If you are charging a tremendous amount more than your competitors, you may have your answer. Having five customers at $100 is better than having two customers at 150$. Speaking with an expert in finance is a smart decision to help you here. In fact, you will likely benefit if you use the services of other coaches yourself. It shows your clients that you believe in your services.

Becoming a life coach will allow you to fulfill your dreams and to help others to do the same. To continue along this path, you must generate enough income. If you do not want to have to take on another job while you are building your business, you may have to change things up a little. If you are a life coach, you can do anything that you put your mind to.

Now get out there and get things started!
