HOW TO THINK YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS
The Vital Importance of Developing a Winning Attitude -
in Sport and in Life:
Authors Note:
This extract is from 'The Winning Mind', an e-book by Craig Lock written by a layman and sports fanatic to enhance (hopefully) the performance of all sportsmen and women throughout the world - no matter their level of skill or abilities.
Positive attitudes fuel the fire of achievement in people's lives. Superstars, like boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and Carl Lewis are the epitomies of positive thinking superstar sportsmen. A positive attitude is the single most important factor for success in life. Health-conscious, gym-going people epitomise* positive thinking.
* Like that fancy word, "epitomise", which I'm using so frequently.
Your attitude. Is it "the right attitude? It's something many of us take for granted. "Why should I worry about my attitude?" - you say. "If people can't get along with me, that's their problem!"
If you carry a negative attitude around with you every day, you are closing the doors of opportunities in your life. We are all exposed to negative thinking, "poor-attitude" people – they're everywhere. With all the negative input that we receive from our friends, family, bosses, the news and co-workers, maintaining a positive attitude can be difficult...but it's so important.
When most people hear the words "attitude adjustment", they think about going to the bar for the "happy hour". Those who continually immerse themselves in this nonsense, neglect the real problem themselves. When things don't go right in their lives, they try to escape by not facing reality. People who lead the fitness life-style generally have positive attitudes. They feel good, they look good and those feelings radiate to anyone whom comes into contact with them. The only bars that the fitness-conscious care about are bar -bells. They have made a commitment to themselves to stay in shape. It takes the same type of commitment to maintain a positive attitude, although be aware that at times you may have "down days". Then it's up to YOU to pull your attitude up once more.
To end off, I believe ones attitude is the single most critical factor in making the most of our lives. Think correctly with positive uplifting "torts".
Because...
From our thoughts spring our reality; consequently our thoughts determine the outcomes of our lives. Thus, our beliefs create our behaviours and our behaviours create our experience.
From the ideas we hold in the "top two inches" of our heads our future emerges. So
MANAGE YOUR THINKING ..
AND YOU CONTROL YOUR LIFE
Craig Lock ("Information and Inspiration Distributer", Incorrigible Encourager and People-builder”)
"Man is mind
and evermore he takes the tool of thought...
and shaping what he wills,
brings forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills.
He thinks in secret
and it comes to pass -
environment is but his looking glass."

(Thanks so much for sharing with me, dad!)
"It is not as important to succeed, but to persist."
- inspiring words that greatly encourage me from great South African writer and humanitarian, Alan Paton (author of 'Cry the Beloved Country')
"You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm."
- Colette
"One person with a dream can accomplish more than 100 others without one. If you have a burning desire, you can accomplish anything. The biographies of great men and women are full of stories of how they did seemingly impossible things because they had a dream."

" Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. "
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Oh man! There is no planet sun or star could hold you, if you but knew what you are."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
" I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live by the light that I have."
- Abraham Lincoln
" He who cherises a beautiful vision, a lofty ideal in his
heart, will one day realize it. Dream lofty dreams and as
you dream so shall you become."
- James Allen
"No vision and you perish; No Ideal, and you're lost; Your heart must
ever cherish Some faith at any cost. Some hope, some dream to cling to, Some rainbow in the sky, Some melody to sing to, Some service that is high."
- Harriet Du Autermont

Change YOUR world and you help change THE world...for the better. "
