How To Have A Spiritual Experience At Christmas

When it comes to holiday time many are reminded of how disconnected they feel with anything they might call a spiritual experience. In many cases they turn to their religion for an answer yet come up feeling frustrated. Some then turn to their own eclectic form of spirituality which in time, if one is honest with themselves, also comes up short. There is a very specific and important reason for this failure to connect and by reading this not only will you gain clarity you may also begin to reconnect to what a true spiritual experience is.

The term "spiritual" is often meant to signify something that is beyond the physical or bodily experience. It also suggests some form of greater or higher power that many refer to as the divine or god. In other words it is essentially about something "out there" i.e. outside of one's normal mortal or physical experience as a human being on the planet. What's more many "spiritual" teachings promote the notion that we will only really know and experience it after the death of the physical body.

Hence, from this understanding having a "spiritual experience" implies the ability to have an experiential awareness of this external divine energy while one is still alive. How to do this is prescribed in various ways i.e. raising one's consciousness, travelling out side of the body, prayer and the like.

I personally do not subscribe to any of these ideas as you will see.

Let me say that personally I do not use the term "spiritual" much because it has many confused meanings. I prefer to use instead the term Life Force Energy to represent the energy that many are attempting to connect to. Life Force Energy is essentially the vital energy of life. It is supposed to reside completely and permanently in the physical body.

It may surprise many of you when I say that most people on the planet do not, and I repeat, do not have all of their Life Force Energy living in their physical bodies. In other words many are not fully "present" in their bodies. This lack of presence is experienced in many ways as a pervasive feeling of emptiness, lack of self esteem, lack of self worth, feelings of inadequacy, feeling alone, fearful, lack of self confidence, weakness, unhappiness, purposelessness, confusion, and so on.

You see when one's Life Force Energy is depleted from the mind/body of an individual one feels incapacitated and very much alone in the universe. This engenders a deep yearning for that "spiritual experience" I referred to earlier in the article.

This depletion of Life Force Energy is not normal by any means and is not supposed to be the human condition at all. We were meant to be fully integrated, whole and complete beings i.e. Life Force Energy completely and permanently integrated with our minds and bodies for all time.

Now on this point I ask that you not simply believe this rather I ask you to re-read it to yourself and as you do notice how you feel in and around your Heart region. Many of you will likely feel some positive feelings emerging there as a result of what has been said. This positive feeling is your Heart coming to life at what it knows to be the Truth. In other words, like water for a plant, the Truth nourishes and enlivens the Heart.

Another way of saying this is that simply hearing the Truth allows your displaced Life Force Energy to return to and reintegrate with your body through your Heart. In that experience there is much peace, stillness, joy, happiness, optimism, presence, lightness, buoyancy, confidence, security, certainty, clarity, empowerment, resilience, a sense of connection, aliveness, a sense of purpose and most importantly the awareness that you are a divine being in your own right.

If you feel any of this and you like the experience place one hand over your Heart and affirm to your self that you do and it will grow stronger.

One's Life Force Energy sadly becomes progressively depleted from the body as one accumulates negative life memories in the mind/body through out their so called lives here in this reality. One’s life history literally weighs them down and drains the life out of them. As I'm sure you may recognize this depletion is also called the process of dying. Until now it was simply an accepted fact that this "life history" stored in each of us was something we had to endure and could not change.

It turns out however that those memories can be completely uninstalled much like computer software. In doing so a remarkable thing happens; Life Force Energy spontaneously returns to and reintegrates with the mind/body yielding the so called "spiritual" experience many have been searching for.
