Not a day seems to go by where the newspapers or gossip sites haven’t got a story about Katie Price and her cosmetic surgery journey. However, many of the articles over the past few years have had a pretty negative slant, suggesting that Price is unhappy with the nip-tucks she’s had over the years.
Critics have thrown a whole load of accusations at the model formerly known as Jordan, claiming that she’s “ruined” her nipples with her boob jobs and wrecked her teeth and lips with numerous procedures. People are entitled to their opinions, but even Katie’s biggest enemies would have to concede that some of the jibes have been pretty personal in recent weeks and months.
Of course, such stories are unsurprising, given Katie’s position in the celebrity world – she’s given so much of herself away in interviews and TV shows that it’s natural for media outlets to think her life is fair game for accusations and half-truths. But does it make it fair? That’s a debate for another day, sadly.
The latest story doing the rounds counters the accusations that Katie’s regretting having surgery – and actually suggest that she’s feeling at her best at the moment. According to the Daily Star, Katie’s told her friends she feels “on top of the world”, adding that it’s “bizarre” that reports have suggested she’s regretting going under the knife. “With all the training I’m doing for the London marathon I’ve never felt better,” Price apparently told her ‘friends’.
How accurate and true the quotes are is anyone’s guess – after all they were provided by Katie’s ‘friends’ rather than the woman herself – and we all know how Chinese whispers work. Given that she’s returned regularly to plastic surgery clinics, it’d be highly unlikely that Katie would be unhappy with her nip-tucks - otherwise why would she be bothering? The fact is, her career has been built on enhanced beauty – and biting the hand that’s fed her handsomely over the past decade or so would be a bizarre move.
However, as Britain’s most famous user of cosmetic surgery, Katie’s now used to the flack that comes with being a tabloid queen. So stories – and counter stories – that she’s gone under the knife again are likely to be water off a duck’s back. In fact, she probably reads them and laughs as she’s chauffer driven to her next plastic surgery appointment on Harley Street!
