Your comfort zone is defined as places or situations where you feel most comfortable and natural with. While there is nothing wrong with that, you still need to move out of it if you really want to develop your full potential and succeed in life. One good example of comfort zone is your home.

It is only when you push yourself to do something new, then you are able to achieve extraordinary results. Issac Newton once said that if you keep doing the same thing and expect different results, that is insanity.

Your first step is to decide what you wish to change about yourself. It can be your appearance, personality, life or anything you want to achieve.

To help you better, I suggest you compile a list of everything that you want to do and accomplish. Once you have determined your goals and objectives, then you can proceed to turn your dreams into reality.

With that said, here are just some ways in which you can step outside your comfort zone.

Your Self Image

When was the last time you have a haircut or change your appearance?

If you have not done this for a long time, you can take your first step by going to the barber or hairdresser. Get a hair cut and shave if you are a guy. If you are a gal, go for a change of hair style and colour.

Then go shopping and get yourself new clothes. Long-sleeved shirts, polo shirts, T-shirts, trousers and jeans for men while for women, it should be long-sleeved shirts, blouses, T-shirts, skirts, trousers and jeans.

Make up wise, men should go for perfume, hair gel, shaver and shaving cream while women should go for jewellery, make up and perfume.

There are many other ways for you to change your self image and provide yourself a new look. Just do whatever it takes to achieve those.

Do Something Different

Set a weekly goal to do something different from what you normally do for months and even years. This is another way to get out of your comfort zone.

Begin by making small changes like exercising and making new friends. Then make big ones by going on vacation by plane or holiday cruise.

Meet Your Fears Head On

Change is always frightening when we first step into the unknown like surroundings, people or another country.

But it is only you meet your fears head on and passing through it, then you can improve upon yourselves. Once you conquered that fear, you will find that being in the unknown is not so frightening after all.

The same applies to other things that you fear most.
