Kirsten Dunst pictures spark ‘cosmetic surgery riddle’

Has Kirsten Dunst had cosmetic surgery? This is the question on the lips of the Hollywood mediasphere after pictures from her new film Melancholia hit the internet. In the snap, the former Spider-Man franchise star appears naked as the day she was born on a rock. And the thing that’s caught everyone’s attention about the snaps are her breasts – they’re noticeably bigger than they’ve ever been. And they seem perky, despite the fact the star is lay on her back.

Opinion on the photographs seems to be divided. In the one camp are those who’ve put 2 and 2 together and reached cosmetic surgery. The evidence is pretty compelling, especially when you compare the picture to snaps of Dunst relaxing on a beach a few years back. While she’s never been super skinny, she’s never been buxom in the chest department either. Considering that she hasn’t been pregnant not appears to have put any weight on in the picture suggests that her suddenly inflated boobs are unlikely to be a natural phenomenon.

On the other hand, other commentators have suggested that the picture is a red herring – and that it’s not even Kirsten lying nude on the rocks. Body doubles are often used in Hollywood movies – and not just for stunts. In fact, many of Tinseltown’s biggest stars have no-nudity clauses in their contracts, which can cause problems when the role demandS a bit of flesh is shown. The solution? To find someone that can pass as the star who’s willing to bare their boobs, bum or nether regions in front of the camera.

There’s been no word from Kirsten or the film’s producers on whether it’s really the blonde star in the pictures, but the release of the snap has clearly had the desired effect – getting the world talking about the film and a star who’s been out of the limelight in recent years. The fact that Kirsten’s recently been treated for depression could also have a bearing on her alleged decision to have surgery – many people who have boob jobs cite low self-esteem and confidence as a reason for going under the knife.

As it is, it looks like we’ll need to wait until the film’s released in July before we can take a closer look and work out whether Kirsten’s had plastic surgery. The film looks like a cracker either way!
