Ma-Mahajnan, a spiritual genius, expounds in a state of ‘Conscious Trance’ the essence of truth and how we can attain to perfection. With deep sense of spirituality, based on coordination of worldly-cum-spiritual striving, she begins thus:

“Here’s my ‘On The Quest’ for you.
Have patience and contemplation--
Look far into that horizon;
Let the thought of thy source
Always be in view.”

How beautiful the benediction is! It includes all Religion—over and above, Spirituality in the broad sense. With the development of power of reasoning, cultivating renunciation and realizing truth at heart, it seems to be beyond any religion—at least stands apart, bold and unperturbed.

“Having gone through
‘On The Quest
Make a truce with thy desire;
Build the temple of living God
In every home,
Thus I do desire.”

Her introduction inspires all the while and we get started without thinking the least about anything. “That knowledge which passes all human understanding, and that thought-stream, unseen and unknown, that descends on you and you rest in that. Without theorizing about, following the way of harmony, you had better speak it all out. Just think how much intellect and memory it requires. This is the way.

Will anybody find it difficult? All that I mean to say is the knowledge which transcends all knowledge, descends on one. Thus its way of thinking and its very language is to be found in the very world of realization. There is nobody in the outer world who knows or whom you can ask. Still all the time you have to depend on that—how to master that enough to give it expression. This is the mode or the way which I speak of.

Who art Thou
Who hast made Thy home
within mine?

I know full-well
I am all the wiser
By Thy knowledge
More gifted by Thy gifts
More well-versed
By Thy teaching.

I have merely
Clasped Thy feet
And made with them
A roof
Over my head.

Under that roof
I sit and gird myself up.
My sole thought is to tell others
What master hast
Taught me thus.

I am indeed
Wiser by Thy knowledge
Thou hast made Thy home
Within mine
Of Thy own will.

MIND IS A WOOD

Look here, a man doesn’t even find a thing lying within his reach. If they only care to put everything aside for a moment and just think for a while, they’ll find it straightway. Tut, why do you speak about God! I ask you to have that thing God put aside or spirited away. A man should only look within. It is there that he’ll discover it.

That which you call mind, what’s its real form? Just think you’re a man yourself, you’ve a mind of your own. Take anyone Tam or Rahim. He’s a man and he has a mind. What’s the real essence of that mind? Take the instance of woods. If you search those woods, you’ll come upon sandalwood. Once you go across the thick of the wood, you’ll come upon a plantation of sandalwood trees.

But that stands within very narrow confine—we may as well say, though we try to see it’ it still remains out of sight. Unless we trek across this vast stretch of woodland, we can not get a glimpse of it. Once this vast expanse is crossed, we can feast our eyes on its beauty. But merely it isn’t enough. We’ve further to inhale its fragrance and share it with others.

Being illuminated Judge yourself and feel emboldened

Addressing a meeting I said one day “Religion is as good as stagnant water?” See, how the things are going on. The writers in the world of Philosophy and Religion today quote the Vedanta, the Bible, Shakespeare, Rabindranath and other authors. Had they realized anything from within them, would have expounded that? Meanwhile you might have gone through my comment: “We are designed to do as endowed with” on “Emotion: Good Servant, Bad Master”, published in “Speaking Tree” of Times of India.

Strangely, none of them are at all interested in the profound realization of Ma-Mahajnan. Naturally, I am under tremendous pressure. Despite my ill-health and old age I take keen interest in the propagation of the highest thoughts of the Mother. Do I struggle in vein, my dear friends? No, never. Everything will be cleared to one and all, if one watches once: http://www.mysteriesunraveled.com and contact +91 9732961562.

Sadly, my pressure has been increased due to decaying condition of the recorded tapes. It requires minimum Rs.50, 000.00 to begin with the restoration process to get the entire tapes revitalized or just by transferring each to DVDs or pen drive. Initially, I have been inspired by one of my young brothers Goutam Das with said amount. But what about the contribution of others around the world, please? Isn’t She Mother to all? How can everybody shake off the burden to be shouldered collectively?

Unfortunately, there’s none to save the situation. Government is thinking about the poor to provide them with roti, kapra aur makan—bread, clothing and shelter. From top to bottom of the distinguished we are well-concerned with “Food for Thought”. Then where lies the problem? Obviously, we are orthodox and prejudiced. Why shouldn’t we develop power of reasoning and cultivate within? Strangely, where science and technology flow like a river, religions don’t have the mind to embrace spirituality.

As a result, in every religion we dump it day by day and make it just a waste pond. How severe the problem related with the fundamentalists in every religion is! The more we are getting higher education, the more becoming uncultured quarreling with each other at home and away. Aided by sophisticated machines we are prepared to suicide. Modern civilization has to pay enormously. So it is earnestly desired that we should cultivate spirituality right from the very childhood.

Author's Bio:

Ma-Mahajnan, a matchless spiritual genius, expressed her entire creation in a state of "Conscious Trance” which has all been stuffed with matters of highly philosophical values and related with strong literary sense. She could not attend even Primary School due to extreme poverty. Strangely, she was taught all by herself in the School of Nature. The weird and wonderful life is possibly the souse of her vast experience and profound realization. She was born on 17 July, 1928 and passed away on 22 January, 2011.

Listen to what Ma-Mahajnan said once: “I may as well tell you in advance; I haven’t read about any Yoga, I am, in fact, innocent of any learning. Just believe me; you should know this in advance. In fact, if you speak in English, I won’t understand that. I am a perfect ignoramus.” Listen to what I tell you briefly about the early phase. Listen first about my life. I was married off at the age of thirteen. I was the second wife, my husband married for the second time and thus I came into his family. I didn’t get any chance for schooling.” You’ll perhaps weep to hear how I came as a wife, driven by utter poverty or how they packed me off. After that all at once I slowly progressed in the domain of that ‘Nothingness’.--Please refer to “I’m the Mother; the Nothingness, too.”

Asokananda Prosad, Ma-Mahajnan's first disciple, is an engineer, a philosopher and a philanthropist. Being the missing son—the eldest and the first disciple of Great Ma-Mahajnan, he has had to shoulder so many burdens of Ashram and Temple. Of course, there are few brothers and sisters, very sincere and honest, intelligent and industrious. They help him in every way. He has long been translating Works of Ma-Mahajnan, written in Bengali, into English. The Mother didn’t just put those in black and white, but simply expressed, extempore and spontaneous, in a state of “Conscious Trance” and Asokananda got those tape-recorded.
