One of the most imperative negative impacts of the technology which has actually taken over today's world, is the fact, that this technology is making its users sluggish. This indolence has a huge impact on our lives and it is in certain ways, ruining it. The craze for video games like play station, XBOX, computer games etc is clearly seen in people of all age groups but is most prevalent in teenagers. These games make their players sit on the same couch for hours leading them to being lethargic and inactive. They tend to eat, sleep, study and do each and every possible thing while playing their very fascinating games. Before the evolution of these games, children used to get involved in sports like badminton, basketball and football and today each and every child is just too busy playing Bully, The Snape, Barbie's Adventure etc. These games affect the frontal lobe of the brain such that the brain gets used to and addicted to these games. The brain does not allow the body to perform any physical exercise and the body gets used to, to all the rest and prefers being placed on the couch with a remote in the hand rather than sweating in the scorching sun. This laziness also leads to the person being cranky and moody all the time. One gets used to spending time alone and tries and avoids crowds. This behavior can lead to serious consequences at home as well - the child doesn't want to leave his sofa and study, wants his food right there which can cause problems among the family members. Games have a huge hand to the ever increasing rate of obesity. Technology has made things so undemanding that one can enjoy and spend one whole day or may be even more than that doing nothing and just playing games. No physical exercise would mean, no to any exertion, which further means ever increasing fatty deposits and high rate of obesity. Obesity can be injurious to health - It can lead to serious heart problems. We today, do not realize what this technology is doing to us but it is actually leading to destruction of our life styles and can result in being fatal. Obesity can lead to personality crisis which is further increasing the rate of suicides. Most cases of suicides are seen amongst teenagers. Technology has been helping us through a lot of its benefits but its taking away a lot more than what it's giving to us. Finally there's someone who realizes this, there are some steps taken by some of the companies in order to make its players more active and indulge them in making use of their time. These steps do not lead the players to being lazy; these games actually refresh them and make them active physically and mentally. A new game that has been introduced lately is "Wii" - this game involves total physical activity of the player. It has a camera attached to it and doesn't work with the help of a remote but rather works because of the movements one makes in front of the camera, it also caters to the buyers who wish to lose weight and get rid of their obesity but in an interesting manner - it records ones weight and then gives you a detailed chart of the amount of calories you need to lose. It also keeps a check on the exercise schedule that one starts with it. Another very interesting invention is the "dancing mat". It has 8 different parts each having a dance step made on it. A video of a dancing doll is played on the television and the player dances on the mat following the same steps. This leads to exercise yet in a remarkable manner. It enhances the physical fitness and doesn't deteriorate it like the other video games do. Technology is also providing easiness and comfort in personal as well as business fields.
