Hey all, I hope everybody had a safe New Year's and are ready to start the new year with vigor. What I would like to talk about is motivation. I'm not talking about the type of motivation that you are going to see all over Instagram, or Facebook. I'm talking about that motivation that scares you, the motivation deep down inside you that you are afraid to tell people about.

You're probably saying to yourself Eric what the heck are you talking about. However as a personal trainer of over 15 years (http://www.everybodyspersonaltrainer.com/personal_trainers_in_fairfax__i... ), and a fitness enthusiast of over 20 years, I think I have a little skin in the game to talk about what I feel is the most important ingredient in a successful exercise program.

There are different things that motivate each each one of us to get out of bed in the morning. These are the type of motivating factors that I'm talking about. It's those deep, underlying motivating factors that propel you forward when you don't think you can keep on going. I'm talking about the motivating factors that subconsciously drive you and scare you.

For many of us, this may be the fear of being unsuccessful. Maybe it's the fear of lack of money. Or maybe it's the fear that you just aren't good enough. These are the motives that I want you to recruit to drive you to achieve your New Year's goals. We all have them. It is these deep underlying motivating factors that are going to get you out of bed in the morning, that are going to get you to the gym, and then are going to keep you dieting when you don't feel like it.

It is once you can harness the power of these emotions and motivating factors that you will become successful. So what I'm saying is don't be afraid of these thoughts, don't be afraid of these emotions, rather embrace them. Let them motivate you to become even more successful this year, and achieve things you never thought you could have achieve.

I wish you all the best of health for this new year, and truly sincerely hope you all achieve your goals. Let's make this the best year yet and let's keep on pushing.
