In home personal training is one of the best ways to maximize time and results from workouts. Many clients are also more comfortable training in a more private setting like their home or apartment, More privacy allows you to focus on yourself,- do your own thing (workout) and be left alone without being distracted or disrupted during your workouts.
Although space is at a premium in New York City, you don't have to take up a lot of area with all kinds of big bulky exercise equipment (like in the gym) or otherwise to perform an effective at home personal training session. There are many pieces of in home exercise equipment marketed to be the best thing ever that are complete junk and a huge waste of time and money. There are also a few select pieces of portable, versatile fitness training equipment that an experienced in home personal trainer should be able to identify, provide and utilize with their clients in a proper way to ensure maximum results.
Here are a few that I use with my clients for example - exercise bands are a small versatile, portable piece of equipment that allows you to perform a wide variety of movements. The iron gym can allow you to do pull-ups (one of the most effective exercises) in your doorway. The core wheel works almost your entire upper body and abdominal muscles in one move. In addition to these perfect portable pieces, there are a whole slew of different ultra effective exercises you can do using just your own body weight using just an exercise mat like push us and planks.
As with any new workout program - It takes some getting used to. Professional guidance and instruction from an experienced in home personal trainer makes a huge difference since your apartment is not designed as a gym space, and these training devices are not always fool proof. Also, simply purchasing piece(s) of fitness equipment won't get you into shape. Many are the personal training clients who have home training equipment that never gets used and ends up taking up precious space. An experienced professional in home personal trainer can implement effective at home workouts even in a small space like your New York City Apartment or Condo - making working out with an in home personal trainer an excellent alternative to working out with a personal trainer at a NYC gym.
