Face it, embrace it, and then release it.”  These words have been part of my healing process for years.  However, the power lies in the awareness of what we need to face, own and then ultimately release.  Sometimes this process may take minutes, or if we are emotionally attached to the situation it may take longer, perhaps years.  The key is to recognize the process, see the situation for what it is, therefore, Face It.  Understand how you are emotionally attached to the situation which is resulting in the feelings of anger; therefore, Embrace It.  The last step, the most important and generally the most difficult step is to release the emotional attachment.  Here are a few affirmations and visual techniques to help you when applying this concept to assist you in healing anger.

It is okay for me to be angry, feel anger and experience the anger throughout my being.  I own that this is how I see from my lens and feel throughout my emotional, physical and mental state of being.

When I am ready, I choose to replace this anger with forgiveness first directed toward myself then toward the experience, and all involved.  As I forgive I say to myself, “I release all the toxic emotional poison that this anger holds in every cell and fiber of my being.”  I visualize extracting and pulling this toxicity out of my physical being.  I create a visual such as a basting syringe that is pulling this clear toxic substance out of my organs and blood stream.  Then I imagine releasing it and replacing it with a bath of beautiful light in colors such as green, white or purple a full submersion like you were dying an Easter egg.
