You take two steps forward and then something happened leaving you feeling like you have taken a giant step backwards, don’t give up. If you have tried something numerous times and have gained no ground, don’t give up hope. On some days it might feel like you are spinning your wheels, like you are stuck in the snow. We all have been there at some point in our lives.

When you feel stuck it forces you to bring about change. Sometimes we initiate the change while other times it is forced upon us. The process of change is not always pretty, but the end result can be astonishing. We can understand this through our gut wrenching periods of grief or devastation. The process after a bad breakup will transform you into a better understanding of who you are. A community devastated by a tornado will rebuild with hope and courage with a vision of anew.

If you have ever had construction done on your home you can relate. You have things torn apart, saws are going, dust everywhere and your home looks like it’s in shambles. This is the result of change, a result of you wanting a better outcome and the end result is beautiful. But it does take patience to get there.

Sure, there are a lot of headaches in the process but you have to keep your mind on the end result. Say your son wants to be in wrestling now and he is very good at it. You are enthusiastic about it but you wonder how you are going to juggle an already full schedule. Sure, it’s not easy with work, shopping, cleaning and taking your daughter to her classes, but you do it for the end result. Lessons learned and memories made and nothing can compare to the look on their face when they accomplish their goal.

So, if you feel stuck or lose faith and feel like you are spinning your wheels, don’t give up. Even if you change one small thing it will bring about other changes and this will bring about the end result that you have worked hard for.

There are some days that you race to the finish line while other days require more patience. That’s the wonderful thing about this crazy thing called life, we have good days and bad days, fast and slow moving days, and of course this thing called change. As long as you keep trying new things and plan what you want the end result to be, and stay focused on that, you won’t be spinning your wheels for very long.

Let your faith in yourself guide you to where you want to be and envision yourself getting there. It is that easy. So if you ever get stuck, always remember that there is always another way, you just have to change something in your process to get there.
