Do you know how worry can chew up much of your energy, enthusiasm and create enormous amounts of mental, emotional and physical stress? What does worry do to you?
It is responsible for energy depletion, immobilization of thought and action, anxiety, depression, low self confidence, a pessimistic attitude towards the future, dread, mental, emotional and physical stress and ultimately to illness itself.
So if it were gone one would conversely experience feeling energized, enthusiastic, motivated, a sense of clarity and decisiveness, high self confidence, optimism about the future, light heartedness, joy, peace, calmness, and the ability to effortlessly negotiate their way through life!
So why is it inside of you at all? Well because deep in your unconscious mind, you happen to harbour beliefs about how worry is in fact useful to you. Those beliefs serve to anchor that negative state into your mind and body.
Beliefs such as:
1. Worry helps to keep me vigilant and prepared for unforeseen events.
2. Worry protects me from the unknown and therefore keeps me feeling safe and secure.
3. Worry helps me feel like I’m in control of things I can’t control.
4. Worry makes me ready, alert, strong and capable.
5. Worry is a normal and natural human emotion that is genetically inbred.
And so on.
Well if any of those statements felt in anyway bizarre to you then you have likely already begun to purge that state from within you.
