Firstly, let us learn what stress is. Stress is the emotional and physical strain that is being triggered by our reaction towards the forceful pressure from our surrounding people and events. Some of the usual stress reactions comprise of tension (worries and nervousness), irritability (prompt to frustration easily), distraction (cannot focus and concentrate well), and also some other physical symptoms like headache and a fast throbbing heartbeat.

In our everyday, sad to say that we cannot live our life without some stress. So we must choose to handle stress in an empowering way in order to add some spice and excitement to our life. But if we treat stress in a negative way and it gets out of control, our health and relationships will be badly affected. Now, let’s look at some tips in ways to manage stress.

1. Always adopt a positive thinking and mindset

Give yourself positive signal like to visualize on how well you can cope with the issue, instead of dwelling on negative thought by thinking about how horrible everything is going to be. Be positive.

2. Have Adequate sleep

Try to pamper yourself by getting more sleep and rest because lack of them tends to intensify stress. Remember this: sometimes it is OK not to do anything, just rest.

3. Do exercise

Sweat it out by going for a jog or some ball games, you tends to work off stress by engaging in physical activities.

4. Be realistic

Always be realistic in setting goals or tasks, minimize the events happening around you to reduce the stress level

5. Take an exit from the stressful situation

Get away from the situation for a while and have a break or two. If possible, do some meditation. This will largely reduce your mental tension.

6. Laugh and Smile

Laughter and smile are two of the most valuable resources that can assist you in reducing and managing stress. Don’t be stingy, laugh and smile more or you can catch a comedy show to let out your laughter.
