If you are interested in Law of Attraction and abundance programming, you will have heard a lot about the power of the subconscious mind. Modern science now supports the ancient Hermetic Principle of Vibration. This principle tells us that through the law of resonance, our subconscious mind attracts our experiences. As one gateway to the subconscious is through the conscious mind, many LOA coaches will tell you to control either the conscious mind by 'being positive' and clearing negative thoughts or control the subconscious with visualisation, affirmation or hypnosis. All of this information is useful and relevant however there is a third aspect that this process ignores.
Before I tell you what the third element is, I'd like to explain something about the energy of the conscious and subconscious. The conscious mind, represents the male energy of will. We have been given free will so that we can make choices based upon our desires and take responsibility for what we perceive. This occurs in the conscious mind. The subconscious is the female energy ensuring our survival. The subconscious therefore, is concerned with safety. This is one of the reasons why when we set out to achieve a new goal, we begin to feel scared and nervous. The subconscious, through its language of feeling, is letting us know that we may be in danger, as we are venturing into unknown territory.
Now to address the third element of law of attraction. There is a misconception that the conscious mind can control the subconscious mind. Neither the subconscious or conscious minds have control over the other. They can though, be synthesised by what some people call higher consciousness or super consciousness. This is the aspect of our mind that is connected to source energy. This aspect is a balance of male and female energy. It is spirit which compassionately witnesses the desires of both conscious and subconscious without judgment. It understands the conscious mind's desire for certain experiences and the subconscious desire for safety. It is this aspect of our mind that can find the 'how' of safely achieving our goals.
We do this by giving up control and surrendering both our desires and our fears to higher consciousness. One way to contribute to this synthesis is to affirm that even our difficulties in life are leading us to our destination. When running a marathon, even the hills, as uncomfortable and exhausting as they are, take us to the finish line. There are therefore, no mistakes, only experiences which depending upon our perception, will either block us or propel us forward. Once we begin to see our difficulties as aiding us in our achievements rather than hindering us, we have synthesised our thinking. The inner conflict of success v failure is resolved. This is an example of Conscious Wealth.
