The Harmonising Times February New Moon 2017: From the Rooster New Moon -- Clear the Decks!

Welcome to Creating Harmony’s Harmonising Times. Our intention is to provide our readers, friends and connections with an overview of what is emerging in our much larger, ever evolving community. Just after midnight GMT on the 28th the new moon rises and so the Chinese New Year appears – the year of the Fire Rooster. It also has Yin energy, so you will need to trust and follow your instincts and intuition. If something feels off, or feels as though it is not right, then this year you will be required to pay attention. Yin energy is often associated with water and metal, though when put together with fire it has the potential to be extremely destructive, in all aspects of life. When this energy is used effectively, there is no problem that cannot be solved, no intuitive message that is too complex to understand and no dream too big to achieve. This year of the Fire Rooster will be even longer than usual as it has 13 lunar months (384 days) in which to crow your dreams into creation. The Fire Rooster The year of the Fire Rooster brings a period when its fiery temperament is expected to infuse more enthusiasm and energy into our activities, increasing hopes for better prospects for everyone. It will also be a year about family and the domestic life, as well as fertility - plenty of new children on the way! Another sign of the new beginnings. In the Chinese tradition the Rooster is the most misunderstood and eccentric of all the signs - the Don Quixote of the Chinese cycle! As Fire destroys metal this will be a year of immense changes - meaning a doubling of challenges this year. Yet, the Fire Rooster shines like a bright star in the dark sky, bringing hope and transformation to those who know how to act harmoniously around and through prevailing circumstances. It will be a year that the most vital promise made will result in a flawless job no matter what it takes to achieve it. It will be a year when it is truly better to do less, though to do it with an eye to the detail. The year of the Rooster teaches the lessons of order, scrutiny and strategic planning. A year when diplomacy rules over force. Though we can expect to hear more cutting criticisms of those in the public life, and feathers will fly as prides are dented - all will benefit from the rude awakening. Despite all the fussing and flapping we can expect prudence to be the key in economic matters, for the Rooster is a good money manager. Every new moon provides opportunity for a new beginning. This one is in the sign of Aquarius. The sign of mankind, the visionary, the leader who stands on the mountain and observes all and sees new paths and better ways to serve everyone. However, to truly serve the needs of others is going to require us to be three, four or five steps ahead. This will require investment in ourselves and to accept the full use of our own power. On the same day as the new moon there will be an energy boost as Mars moves into its home sign, Aries. This transit provides until 11th March an opportunity to address all that needs to be done! This will allow you to rest in April when several planets go retrograde and the energy level will drop. These changes are going to have an effect on the physical body. This is most likely to be felt in the trunk of the body, the sacral, solar plexus and heart regions. The full moon on 11th February will also be a lunar eclipse, followed on the 26th by a solar eclipse, the same day the new moon appears. Eclipses bring heightened levels of energy within us and in the world around us. In this double eclipse cycle, we are all being urged to allow a fuller expression of our true selves to be visible.
