The importance of Social Media for Online marketing of a Business

When I say search engine, what do you think about?
One more question, if you want to learn more about a company, how would you do it?
Social media marketing “is the process of promoting your site or business through social media channels and it is a powerful strategy that will get you links, attention and massive amounts of traffic. “
Social Media for Business is key in Online marketing of a business because:
1. It helps get your message in front of more people
2. Helps the search engines find you
3. Brings more leads and customers to you.

I Social Media helps get your message in front of more people.
A. The process of putting your message out for people to see, requires some upfront work
Consider this part your foundation in building your online Marketing. The work I am referring to is creating your message. The Social Media Websites are setup to allow you package your message in many different formats
B. As there are many fish in the sea, there is a vast sea of social media websites available for web surfers. Many of these sites are free or partly free, there are plenty of great ones to use, I don’t pay for any of these. You can get you message out to the whole World on the World Wide Web very quickly.
Back in the day, a business only needed a website, now at a minimum, your business needs
to also be on Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter.
More advanced methods would be the multitude of Sites with a profile. Having a blog or two,
and article publishing.
Almost off of the Social Media Sites let you put a link to one or more of your websites, blogs, and other social media sites. This bring us to my next point

II Social Media helps the search engines find you
The big buzzword in the Internet world is “SEO” which is short for Search Engine Optimization. One definition is “The process of getting your website to the top of the search engines”
This has become a whole industry today. Many people are “Experts” in Social Media and Search Engine Optimization. Some companies pay thousands of dollars to get top rankings in the search engines.

Search engine rankings: “Search engine ranking refers to the position at which a particular site
appears in the results of a search engine query. A site is said to have a high ranking when it
appears at or near the top of the list of results.”
Once again, the Social Media creates links, (also referred to as backlinks),

Now that takes us to my final point:

III Social Media brings more leads and customers to you.
This is one of the ultimate goals of Social Media Marketing.
Imagine logging into your email and finding an inquiry from a potential customer or better yet,
They purchased from you what you were out in the field.
Last year I started using many of the Social Media websites. Over time, I have generated leads as people went to my company website and asked questions. Last year I had 4 Sales from people in other states that found my Website out of thousands, and purchased a a service without any contact. I found out via company email that someone signed up on my website.

Conclusion: Social Media for Business is key in Online marketing of a business because.
1. It helps get your message in front of more people
2. Helps the search engines find you
3. Brings more leads and customers to you.

I hope you caught a glimpse of my excitement about using Social Media for Business and why it is key in online marketing.
