“The Healing Power of Unconditional Love”

Once there was a strong warrior who lived in the woods with his tribe. The great warrior was the more powerful than any warrior around, for he didn’t care about his own life and was fearless. Because soon after his birth his mother and father died in a tragic accident. Thus he unconsciously always felt he was the one who caused their death. So he pushed away all feelings of love, peace, and caring about people, and went out and oppressed other tribes with war. He was the bravest of all warriors, more fearless than many of the great warriors talked about in legends.

Later another tribe who had lost their land in a war started a nomadic life. They were searching for a new home with a beautiful princess leading them to their new land. They were searching for a new place to spread their wings, but every where they turned there was another tribe telling them to keep moving. But then one day their nomadic tribe came to the land of the brave warrior. And right away the brave warrior rode out to do battle with the invading tribe. He was riding fast, and came to a clearing in the forest where he met the other tribe. But when he took one glance at the princess his heart was won over. He was filled with love for the princess the most beautiful woman around.

With tears in his eyes, he got off his horse and walked to the princess. And he said “You and your tribe can stay here if you marry me”. And thus with great joy the princess said yes, and thus they were married right away. And something changed in the great warrior, all his anger, all his sadness, all the ferocity and hatred that he held in his heart for so many years started to melt away. And in the evening the warrior would lay his head on the lap of his princess bride and weep. For he had never known what it was like to have someone kiss and caress his face and love him just for who he was.

And from that point on the warrior was transformed into a tranquil man, a man of peace, a man of love, with caring and tenderness in his heart. And in the evening he would often look into the eyes of his princess bride and say, “I have great respect for you my princess, and I will always be here for you and your tribe.” And with that the great warrior would lay his head down and fall into a deep sleep, and he would sleep well and wake up refreshed. And this was the first time in all his life that he had really slept well, plus finally he was able to dream and remember his dreams.

Later the warrior and the princess bride had four children, two boys and two girls, and the children were loved by their mother, and their father the great warrior who was also very loving and kind. Something changed in the heart of the great warrior when he met the princess. It’s amazing what unconditional love can do to melt away anger and hatred, and heal a heart and mind of all the guilt and shame.

May we all be blessed with unconditional love.

Many Blessings to Everyone!
