The ultimate goal of the Christian Arts is to portray and release God’s love and creative blessing to His children. This is done in a thousand ways: through anointed writing, anointed painting, anointed music, anointed preaching, anointed inventions, anointed sculpture, anointed dance - the list is as endless as the creativity of our God.
God’s passion is that His children would experience His love, being restored to the Garden of Eden, and flourish as they live out of the Tree of Life, being fed by the River of God. This Tree of Life bears continuous fruit, and it provides healing for the nations.
And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Revelation 22:1-5
Through faith in Christ’s death and resurection, we are restored to God and are made a new creation. We are the workmanship of God.created in Christ to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.(Ephesians 2:10). We were made by God to release His love and creative blessing. We are not trying to work this within ourselves, but rather it is through God’s continuous flow that these creative arts spring forth like a tree bearing fruit. We do not do this to bring glory to ourselves. We do not do this to exalt ourselves. Rather the ultimate goal of the Christian arts is to bring glory to God, to portray the love of God and His creative blessings which He gives freely and abundantly.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” – John 10:10
